Toast, of course! Marmalade with crumpets is an offence against nature, not to say probably illegal.
Would you allow a small amount of toasted cheese on your crumpet? I would, but I can understand those who would be against it. |

I put all manner of things on crumpets. Cheese....bring it on! You can stuff loads of marmite or peanut butter down the crumpet holes
