Chilly. Until now, cos I have lit the fire and am now thawing nicely

It's ony just about turning from dusk to dark here now, good to see how much later that's happening! I bought 95p worth of daffs today in Lidl, aren't they the total antidote to cold winters days?

Might be healthy, hoots (used to know an old lady who took a cold bath every morning she lived and was very active until about 90, and love the snowman

Do you not traditionally leave your decorations up until Twelfth Night?

On the thirteenth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me
Thirteen emojis vanishing,
Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
. . .

Xmas and New Year are now finished. Do you see unabated misery stretching as far as the eye can see?

Not at all! I see Spring on the horizon, all sorts of possibilities, there is always hope

Don't you wish you were an optimist?

Scots rool in the Pub thread usually has a draw going on when IAC or BB is on......I've won twice and that was the end of my winnings g streak........Prizes are always virtual ,but usually a good laugh.....

Are your cats on the prowl.?

One of the ones that's adopted me is inspecting the wardrobe.....Quite what it hopes to find in there I don't know

Tis the nature of cats, and sometimes their undoing

I shan't be watching BB, and don't know anyone remotely famous. And very happy about that

Just a little bit of good fortune for hoots, twass, maybe you will win pub sweepstake when least expecting to

Do you do the lottery or any other sweepstakes?

I should do the lottery but never seem to get round to it. If I do I win nowt which doesn't make me keen to repeat the experience. However, someone has to win and it won't be me if I don't buy a ticket!

When I worked for the council we had a lottery sweepstakes where small wins were kept til there was enough for a night out. Problem was we hardly ever even won a tenner despite over 30 folks being in the sweep. We all hoped to scoop a big win which would be shared equally. That never happened.

I did win a tenner on the first ever British lottery. Have you ever won more than that?
