Yes, they are boxers.l I'm very happy Tyson won

Do you ever watch boxing??
twassington
29-11-2015
No. Never

I had the wrestling and boxing forced on me all through my childhood since my parents were addicted to it. Not each other, on the tellybox

My car is now groaning under the weight of party food in it May have overdone it just a tad..... still better too much than too little, right? And I'm well within the budget!

What is your desktop background??
twassington
29-11-2015
A serene buddha with lotus flowers floating at his feet.

Well the party went off well! Most of the food went, I grabbed the leftover veggie sarnies and a pocketful of sweets. That will be dinner sorted

Maoam chews or drumstick lollies?
ChoccyCarole
29-11-2015
Drumstick lollies
Great that your day went well

My desktop is My Irish blue Staffie girl Rosie xx xx
Photographed sometime in 2012 - while she was stood looking at me in front of the couch

[ On Ch 147 = More 4 ]
Watching CDWM - an older tanned guy who does his gardening in the buffage
Now Miss Cheltenham is having her [ Very Pink ] night

Do you think you have eaten 1-000 - or about 2-000 calories today ??
twassington
29-11-2015
At least or more I expect, Choccy! I had a small bowl of Shreddies and milk for brekky and since then an onslaught of party food. I now feel quite dodgy....no way I will finish these sarnies I brought back!! Needless to say I won't be having dinner

Have you been shopping today?
ChoccyCarole
29-11-2015
No not been out today

I may go shopping tomorrow - if not I will definitely go during the week - as I need to spend £40 in one transaction - before the end of next Sunday
to keep on track > to get £15 in a few weeks time with This Morrison's Xmas offer

I use most money off vouchers / or various incentive offers - at these 3 stores
- Morrison's - Pets at home & Boots etc

Do you also make the most of such offers from various shops ?
twassington
29-11-2015
Yes, any money off is well worth having. All the food I got today was either BOGOF or buy 2 get the third free, so the charity's money went quite a long way

Have you seen Jeremy Corbyn's brilliant interview on the Andrew Marr show yet?
silentNate
29-11-2015
No, did he come across well??

Drinkin'??
twassington
29-11-2015
Not presently, drank all the rose wine last night

He came over as relaxed, calm, unflappable and very coherent. Try and catch it if you can, the man's a legend!! He didn't quite say BRING IT ON regards his opponents in the Labour party but he might just as well have

Do you find it sad how little like his father Hilary Benn is?
silentNate
29-11-2015
Hilary Benn is an embarrassment, Corbyn is more like his natural successor

Favourite short story??

Iain Duncan Smith as Tory party leader.

Best 60s year for music?
Fibromite59
29-11-2015
1964. The year that the Beatles really took of in the biggest way here and in the States and the year the Hollies got big, plus The Beach Boys and many more.

I shal be away for a few days from tomorrow, so will see you when I get back, unless I manage to get onto the net in hotel, I may do that.

When will you put your Christmas tree up?
cazziekay
30-11-2015
Have a great time Fibro and hope the weather is a lot calmer for your travels.

My (oldest) daughter put her xmas tree up Saturday and all her decs too. My youngest daughter is putting hers up tonight and has bought a train track to circle bottom of the tree. Crazy pair.

I won't put mine up until at least 7-10 days into December, I think November is too early but so many seem to be doing it now ... well according to fb that is.

When will your tree go up and do you do ceiling decs etc too ??
silentNate
30-11-2015
No tree, no decorations, no presents. Not a christian and I don't care.

Why do atheists celebrate Christmas??
twassington
30-11-2015
Because their families still expect it I imagine. Or they celebrate Santa coming with no religious attachment whatever.

I celebrate Yule, the solstice. I do bring in greenery and I have a tree but the 25th Dec is just a day, son and DIL celebrate it and I will be with them on that day so I just go with the flow. They are as christian as I am. It's all about Santy and the presents

I'll be orf to London today to firstly meet with QofSheba for a coffee and then three other friends, then tomorrow off to Sarfend to see the Levs with Dreadzone and Ruts DC! Well excited!! What's the next exciting thing you are doing?
cazziekay
30-11-2015
Nate - it is more about the materialistic ott celebration than religion these days, well that's how I see it. Each to their own and I would happily not get sucked into it all but the kids (who are all now adults) love it, so I go along with it too.

I was raised a Catholic but I decided not to pass that on to my kids, leaving them to choose a faith or none at all. They, like the majority these days, don't think of Christmas as a religious celebration. Whether that is down to me not introducing them to religion or just a sign of the times I don't know.

Twass - safe travels and have a great time.

Has the wind eased up where you are ??

Yes, it's not as wild. Mine too were left by me to make their own choices. They were quite heavily indoctrinated at primary school and were confirmed there but I always said they should make their own choices and ultimately I have two atheists and one who thinks rather like myself. The church school was the nearest to our house which is why they went there!! To be fair it was also a very good school.

Did you attend church or secular school?
LabhaoiseNiMhao

Both I preferred the secular though. Loved that school!

Ever thought of returning to education and what would you study?
