Yes, my fake Norwegian fir went up before my weekend visitors arrived. I've hung many miniature dark chocolate mini bottles of booze on it. Think they will last til the solstice?

Around 4-5 miles distant

I've not been to them in over a year

When did you last go swimming locally?

Yonks ago !!!!
Went several times when we lived in Woolton
The old - Woolton Village -swimming pool building was about a 15-20 minute walk from home
If you got a bus up there - you could often end up waiting at least 20 minutes for a bus to appear
For this reason and also to burn lots of calories I would nearly always walk up to the village and back - if I wanted to do some shopping or use the pool
Also I decided to start walking back home from my friends house in Gateacre on Friday's- She had always driven me home - until I chose to walk back - which took me about 25mins of brisk walking -
Around that time I also walked there and back from my Aunties house in Childwall most weekends with one of my doggies
- which always took us " exactly 1 hour "
I was as fit & slim as a fiddle !!!!

The Nearest Pool now is about the same distance from here

Do you sometimes / often or rarely -
decide to walk to and from places - if you could actually get there between 10 & 25 minutes -
or do you avoid such walks and drive or use some form of transport ??

I'll walk if my damaged foot will allow it. Currently it is allowing it but my hip, which has been damaged due to me not walking propertly, isn't. You can't win!!!

Do doors in your home open when no one is there?

Awwwww Twassy xx

No doors open here [ by themselves ] > when no one is here -
although I do leave doors open

I knew someone years ago who said that in the rented house
the round door knob on the closed bathroom door would sometimes rattle and move
when she was in the shower
and someone else said a bunch of their keys which were left hanging in one of her internal doors >>>>>>>>>> would sometime sway on their own

Do you ever feel like your olde cottage is visited by bygone peoples ?

Possibly it is. If so no harm is meant. It's a peaceful cottage. But doors do open

FInally catching up with the last of The Returned [Les Revenants]....brilliant series! Halfway through the finale of Season two.

re:- The Returned [Les Revenants].
I hope they do - as you enjoy it so much

I am wearing thick socks - but my feet have been very cold all afternoon
since they got wet on the waterlogged field at 2-50pm
>>>>>>>>>>> off now >>>>>>>> to put a second pair on now

Are you feet warm or cold right now ?

I'd not heard of that, never mind watched! What is it about?

Choccy, my feets are toasty since I lit the fire earlier due to having mini twass and BF here. The whole cottage is warm for once!

The Leftovers takes place three years after a global event called the "Sudden Departure", the inexplicable, simultaneous disappearance of 140 million people, 2% of the world's population, on October 14. Following that event, mainstream religions declined, and a number of cults emerged, most notably the Guilty Remnant. Stars Christopher Eccleston

Has your daughter met stoatie yet, twass??

Toasted marshmallows??
