It's sadly disappointing in terms of the level of debate. Other message boards just get a sniff of GG or Men's Rights Activists and it's the old Ban Hammer but DS mods are more lenient.

Should there be limits on free speech??

While I'm an advocate of free speech in most respects, some things should not be allowed to be voiced - racism, sexism, homophobia.....so is Donald Trump therefore no longer allowed to stand for presidency?

I fear everytime he says something awful his support amongst the Republican base goes up. I very much doubt he would win if he got as far as being their elected representative however

Have you read comments by Scott Weiland's ex-wife regarding his death??

Yes and the bit about his death not being the day he died ...... well anyone who knows a person with a substance addiction knows how true that is.

I nicked another boozy chocolate off the tree. Drambuie one or Rum?

Drambuie

Do you not see the irony in your post?

In regards Scott's widow I liked...

Rum!

Yes, I know regards the irony but life goes on.

There's addiction and there's liking a wee drop on occasion.

His widow was quite right. I feel for her.

No, but it will feel like working as I have to do some Christmas shopping and can hardly walk for pain just now.

I saw a bar of Marmite Chocolate today and having been looking for one since Twass talked about them last year, I snatched it up thinking that at last I could try one. Then I saw the price....£3.45 for quite a small bar. I put it back quickly.

How much would you pay for a bar of Marmite chocolate?

However much it cost I've had it three times now, twice in bar form and once as an Easter Egg, and I've never had to buy it myself so I had no idea it cost that much.

But I would

Did you see those poor folks in their flood destroyed homes who had no insurance and no money to replace furniture??

I think in some areas there has always been flooding, in low lying regions near rivers....but global warming won't have helped, for sure. It's becoming a lot more common these days.

On that note there is blazing sun outside, and it felt quite warm as I hung out the washing! Very weird for December but I aint complaining!!!

Hot buttered crumpets??

I have actually got some plant potted chillis - Got the cute chilli laden plant in October -
- as it was reduced and was very pretty too - I should start using them
I am using my self seeded tomatoes - still got about 30 more out on the plant

What was the last **home grown thing** that you have used ?

Well he could dance, but he was entirely too smooth for my liking.....

Just received a bizarre letter from the bank, saying I qualify for a Premier account, which entitles me to a fee free £1000 overdraft!! WTF??? I mean, while that would be very handy, why?? It says in the blurb to qualify you need an income over £75K pa being paid into your account or savings via them of 50K. I don't have either of those things. Should I be very suspicious of this??

Do you savour each mouthful of food - most of the time -
or mostly just chomp away quite quickly without really slowly enjoying all the different flavours ?

The latter most of the time

The time you most enjoy food is when you are out at a restaurant or similar, because you are not multi-tasking while eating. By which I mean no telly, no internet, no loud music you are listening to etc. Just the FOOD being the main entertainment.

I saw the bizarre but lovely signt of a tree in full pink blossom on my way to the farm shop for spuds! Does this mean it won't bloom in the spring?

I reckon it can bloom more than once a year but I am far from an expert on this

Should Trump be banned from going to Europe or would this just increase support for him among the American right??

Chocolate Santa. Always chocolate for me.

I got some Santa Babies today (like jelly babies) so will open them later.

I don't think there seems to be the selection of Christmas food about that there usually is this year, do you? I can't even find a stollen cake anywhere, just stollen slices. Do you like stollen cake?

It is nice, but I have my home made Christmas cake so not thought to buy one. I've seen them though....Lidl have loads in different sizes!

Not heard of Santa Babies before....but not a fan of jelly babies. Gummy Santas would be better for me......

Jellies or gummies?
