Neither.

Fibro is feeling a bit low today. Every Christmas it seems one of my friends acts in a strange way towards me. When people are a pain in the neck and are getting you down yourself, do you try to continue with the friendship or look after yourself and finish the friendship before it breaks down completely?

I would sit back, remove my own emotions from the situation, and wait. Ending a friendship is a last resort I feel, Fibro. Sometimes folks don't handle themselves well when they are going through bad stuff and try to transfer it onto others. Don't take it personally, take a step away and observe, and offer support to that person if you think you are able to. All may be well in the end, but in enough time you will know what best to do.

Is that helpful at all?

You should have gone with the more standard, 'the festive period can be a stressful time for people and lead them to act in ways they wouldn't normally. Disengage and see how you feel about them in the New Year'.

Looking forward to NYE??

I'll try too although oddly enough I appear to have lost some over past weeks without even trying. Very weird, but fabulous!

Do you like those mixed Japanese rice snacks they sell in Iceland?

Salt. Lots and lots of salt

(Excellent advice there Fibro .... take a step back and observe. Going through a similar-ish situation. Had to remove myself for self preservation. Keep yourself occupied and busy with other stuff and hope you feel brighter again soon )

Do you make your own chips?

Yes, I have a gadgetty air fryer thing where you put the chopped spud in, with about a teaspoon of oil, turn it on and half an hour later HEY PRESTO! Slimma chips! Really nice they are too.

I don't own a deep fat fryer though, do you?

Tomato ketchup. Just ate a tomato sliced onto my cauli cheese and baked!

Fave festive prog: I like all the various Christmas specials, even the simpering Nigella and the frankly scary Kirstie Allsopp

WTF is Frylite?

To quote their website, "Ireland's leading vegetable oil supplier and waste cooking oil collector". Which makes me suspect that Dangermoose meant Frylight - a one-calorie cooking spray.

Do you like Brussels sprouts?

Yes, love them. I won't eat marge or any fake frying thingamabobs! REAL FOOD! Real butter and proper olive or rapeseed oil!

Do you own a Christmas jumper?

Yes - my mum got me one for Christmas last year. (Haven't worn it since, though.)

Do you get yourself a Christmas present?

That's the one

No greenery. Nothing. Just can't face it this year even though I know it's what my mum would want

Can you believe it's next week?
