Seriously why ???
Undermarked in comparison to the other contestants. Since day 1 !!!!!! She has so much natural talent. ..no dancing experience to my knowledge and YET the judges are so tough with her. It's a shame that she hasn't even scored a 30 yet

She has not been under Marked!

PS FYI there are a lot of under marked and overmarked threads running already.

Its the thing that annoying me the most this year Anita is great and a natural dancer. She has been undermarked every week I know a lot of people will disagree with me but for me Anita is the best female dancer this year.

I thought she was undermarked last night. Going first didn't help.

Going on first didn't help her this week...and those 32's were earnt by the others, in my unbiased(!) opinion...

Is she? Only really liked her Charleston and I have a feeling that Gleb is one of the reasons why she is so popular (between the Gleb special and ripping his shirt off, he is making Artem look like an amateur ).

People rave about her latin dances, but I just can't see it. Her CCC was very decent, but people claiming that her Samba was great yesterday And there is nothing wrong with my sight.

But perhaps you should be glad, as her perceived undermarking will only gain her more votes (in the end the audience votes trump the judges votes).

Look at it this way, Craig scored her only 1 point lower then Jay in the first 4 weeks (and she beat him twice!)

Think that Katie, Kellie, Georgia and Helen would beg to differ on that

People might like her best, for whatever reasons, but that doesn't make her the best dancer.

I think her marking was about right .
I love Anita's work , she's fabulous and I would be more than happy to see her win the show , BUT she seems to have stalled . She started so fantastically well and I was mesmerised by her , but last night was a bit ordinary . The routine was slightly less good than her past performances so yes , I think her scoring was reasonable .

I agree to a certain extent. I would have put her about level with Kellie and Peter, but Katie, Georgia and Helen were all better. It's all a matter of opinion of course.

Agree totally. She been consitently good and yet her marks are poor in comparison. Don't understand the judges thoughts. Decent marks for Anita and Gleb please

I felt the marking was about right this week. She looked fine from the hips up. I felt that she did not have a very good leg and foot action.
Loved her charleston though.

I don't dislike Anita, but I don't get the hype over her either last night she was average.

Sambas have always been quite tough to get right for the women compared to salsas. Caroline Flack, for example, had a similar looking samba last year that also left the judges a bit cold. It didn't do her any harm in the long run.

I think Anita and Gleb look the part but they aren't quite dancing it yet - hopefully they will soon

Not just for women. I don't think Helen's Salsa was all that much better though.

Ryan McShane, a pro-dancer, tweeted that he thought Anita & Gleb had been undermarked.

I thought the judge's comments and scores were fair and pretty good for someone who's new to dance and attempted a Samba on Week 4 - and did a pretty good job of it.

Not convinced any of Helen, Kellie, Peter, Jamelia were a full 5 points better than Anita though. I'd say it was more a case of them being overmarked by comparison. I suspect there was some over-hyping of Peter and protecting of Jamelia going on.

The judges have been instructed to mark a certain way by the production team. Their the reason why Peter is over scored, all they give a shit over is ratings and having more headlines in the media to encourage publicity.

I have to say , samba and rumba are the two dances I find hard to judge . With most of them I get what might be amiss and I'm happy to comment , but with samba and rumba I get really confused and find myself totally relying on the judges .
I really should do some youtubeing to hone my judgement .
Anita's dance just looked off and lacked her usual oomph to me, and for that reason I thought her score about right this week .Hopefully next week she gets back to smashing it .

Yes, I have think she has been undermarked for a few weeks now. She was only 2 points in front of Jay and he was all over the place making several mistakes I don't understand it.

Yes I agree and think she is being consistently undermarked. I know she has got a few issues that are in need of improvement but I always feel the judges are quite picky in their comments.

Agreed, to a point. I'm not convinced that Strictly judges score each dance on its own. Unless they're present during final or dress rehearsals to get an advance look then it is all comparative marking which makes me think that maybe there's truth to what they're saying that their scores are influenced by program producers. I mean, really;

Anita dances a sinuous Samba complete with quick basic, voltas, travelling voltas, bota fogos. Her hip action comes from her feet and the all-important back-of-knee flex so she looks natural and not jerky. The placement of her arms is just right. She gets 27.

Helen does a stiffer version of the Skorjanec salsa. She gets 32????

The producers are behaving like tools this year, their just very bossy to the judges, you can tell.

I did think she was marginally under marked this week with a difficult dance but then first out is the pace-maker and often suffers. I didn't think she deserved more last week with that strange 'show-dance' kerfuffle masquerading as a Smooth. But in any event, I'm not sure under marking at this stage is a problem when they are in no danger of a dance-off - it allows the illusion of the all important 'journey' as the judges add on marks ager on. Rachel Stevens was a good e.g. of this - in truth she didn't get noticeably better as the series progressed (she was consistently good) but the judges started marking her higher towards the end when she needed it to get to the final.
