For a God sake will someone please tell who produces the show to stop telling the audience to stop clapping constantly throughout the dances and and the artists singing in the results show.

It's bloody annoying and irritating aghhhhhhhhhhh!

It is annoying. They are not even clapping anything particularly remarkable. They just seem to clap any old step/turn.

Tuned in specifically to hear Will Young and all I could get was this awful clapping. The audience is obviously told to do this by the floor manager - why? Don't they realise the main audience is at home?

Your right they don't pay. You have to apply online for free and then if your lucky they contact yiu via email with your tickets.

I think the OP means the rhythmic clapping along to the music... Does ruin the mood a bit.

It's the millions of people at home who are paying via the licence fee. Why do the people at the show think we want to listen to them clapping like seals, particularly when they drown out the guest singer.

It is and the rules of the lottery are very clear. 'No unauthorised enjoyment'
