ADELE - New Song (snippet)

Popular singer-songwriter ADELE has just teased a new song in the X Factor ad breaks even though it never mentioned her by name. Lyrics were on screen though. Early speculation (from me) would suggest it could be about her estranged father. It's very beautiful judging by the admittedly very short snippet.

Feels a bit pretentious to me.. the whole random song played in the adverts with lyrics.

I mean don't get me wrong she's an amazing singer.. wish she'd done the new bond theme.

Great to see she's finally back. Inevitably there's been a number of artists that have cloned her singing style since she took over the world with 21, but difference will always be that when Adele sings she just has real raw soul in her voice that few can match.

I think you'll find that there are many

Unless the album is absolute perfection I expect the press to savage her.

The surprise trailer was quite something and the song does sound decent enough... however, I can't help but think god, change the record. Her last album was released five years ago, a mega-mega-smash hit heartbreak album... and now she's back proclaiming 'she ain't done much healing'. Would rather have heard something a bit different.

Crikey, it's a 15 second snippet from an album that could run to as many as 3600 seconds.....

I honestly feel that Adeles' career will mimic that of Dido and Norah Jones. Couple of massive albums, then someone else will be the "torch" singer. The clips of the new song shows no progression or difference from her previous work. It's basically a rework of Someone Like You.

Not saying this is bad, but just a pattern I've noticed with these types of singers.

Absolutely love it and I was expecting myself as I was never a massive fan of her last album but I can't wait for this album's release.

The dj on the radio this morning was accusing her of copying Lionel Ritchie's "Hello" lol

Well, it's sort of all people have got to give an opinion on at the moment? What a pointless comment.

I would like to hear her do something in her own accent, like when she started out.

I'm amazed at how much dreariness can be crammed into so few seconds, I'd like to hear a cheery song from her one day.
