Kristina had Simon Webbe last year - easily the best of the men. And she had Jason Donovan, a good ringer (though he didn't connect with the public) so she's had her chances.

I thought it was really touching what Daniel said about her. Clearly they got on pretty damn well for him to understand her situation so much and feel moved to say something like that.

Why on earth shouldn't Aliona get a good one after 3 years without a contender? Kristina has had chances over the years and not taken them.

Kristina 'should' have won with Simon. Their AT is the only dance I remember from last year.

Kristina is a wonderful dancer and a very kind and good hearted person. She is undeservedly harangued in the press, who prefer to print salacious gossip about her rather than focus on her charity work and the responsibility she shows to her family back in Russia.
She is a wonderful choreographer and always tries to bring out the best in her partner, unlike some other pros who think the dance is all about them. I'm so sorry she and Daniel have gone so early but I think a lot of people wouldn't have thought they were in danger. I really hope she is back next year |

And I totally agree that she should have won last year but the public are fickle!

I don't think Kristina gets enough credit. Quite apart from her dancing talent, she is by far the most eloquent of the Eastern Europeans on the show.

I love how whether or not she gets a good partner, she always make sure to make the whole strictly experience enjoyable for them. Her and Daniel clearly got along very well. I really loved her partnership with him tthis series and it's a shame that they left this early
![]() I can't believe people thought she was faking her tears/being emotional. ..these pros have feelings and there's nothing wrong with being upset at your journey being cut short. I know that she's very unpopular in this forum but I thought that a little farewell thread for her and Daniel would be nice. i love Kristina too edy, I did feel for her. |

Not a fan of Kristina but enjoyed her partnership with Daniel . I was shocked it ended so soon . I thought Daniel's support would see him through for another few weeks at least .
Very touching farewell from both . I'm delighted to see Daniel has won over a lot of new people . |

I'd like it if BBC bosses treated Kristina a bit better, by giving her a student that could potentially win. This really has been her worst SCD since she was partnered with goldie 5 years ago. Not happy with the BBC bosses treating her like muck this year and giving aliona a privilege.

I must admit I've criticised her in the past but she does seem to make the most of her partners and actually cares when they get knocked out.
I just wish she wouldn't be so messy in her private life. |

Wheras I thought pixie was robbed, then again there was a bucket load of hate for her on FB, twitter and the daily mail online, trouble is some of the gbp don't have a clue over dancing. Their more interested over the personalities, Pixie was a much better dancer than simon and yet it felt like len and Darcey at the time were behaving like conformists to the BBCs agenda of getting mark and simon in the final because they were touring. Then again BBC are fools for legislating the casting vote rule, the way TXF is run is far fairer than SCD as if the judges can't come to a unanimous decision it goes back to the public vote, BBC need to get up off their backside and alter it. Some of the ppl at BBC towers are so inept, it's unreal.
![]() In any case, it was a year ago and Simon didn't even win anyway so, get over it. |

I think Kristina and Daniel's partnership worked well. I was expecting them to be in the competition until Blackpool and was shocked to see them in the B2 given Daniel's alleged fanbase - probably little more than a coach full of women in Derry voting on speed dial
Very poor show!Overall, I think they made a good impression and added to show and I shall miss them. |

I agree OP. I wasn't that keen on Kristina last series but I really warmed to her, her partnership with Daniel has been one of the best surprises of this series for me and I'm actually sad they've been voted off so early!
I'd also like to add that I'm sick and tired of people taking such moral high ground over Kristina's private life, nobody is perfect and as the saying goes it takes two to tango. We shouldn't judge people without knowing all the facts and I think she seems a genuinely lovely lady. Daniel's words about her genuinely had me welling up! |

I agree too - though, I wasn't supporting her and Daniel, I've always liked Kristina and never understood the rap she often gets. Yes, her private life could be smoother...but she also gets accused of making her and her partner's routines all about her.
I think she is a wonderful dancer and choreographer. For me, she is the best among the female pros in characterizing a dance. Whatever role she is playing, she puts her absolute all into it. While her Latin is great, she excels in ballroom and has put together some wonderful , show-stopping routines in the past. I personally prefer her with less able celebrities because she has shown a real caring, unselfish side with both John Seargent and Daniel. I, do, however feel her head gets a bit big when she is partnered with a contender. You can clearly see that she and Daniel built up a very strong relationship in a very short space of time - something I thought would never happen. Daniel's speech about "the real her" was so touching and I think this is what genuinely bought on the tears from Kristina. For her part, she found him utterly charming (which he is) and I believed every word when she expressed her pleasure at partnering him. Whilst they have gone to soon, they have, more importantly, laid the foundations for a genuine, long-term friendship. - and I wish them both all the best. |

With kristina, I think it was especially nice for her to hear Daniel speak so nicely of her right at that very moment, as there well might have been a few people casting large judgements over her regarding the Ben Cohen thing (even still now) and deciding she was just a homewreaker with no reedeming qualities, and it was prob just nice for her to have such a lovely man as Daniel express in a short and sweet way that he felt otherwise. It's true, many of us don't really know Kristina at all, and i think she prob appreciated that we (as media and public) don't know her (though some obv think they do) but he got to know her properly (unlike most of us) and clearly liked her. |

I liked Daniel and Kristina on the show and I am so sad to see them leave so early I did vote for Daniel this weekend, I feel that the Republic of Ireland playing in the Rugby World Cup Quarter Finals this weekend did not help him in terms of votes.
