I think there's no love lost between Craig and Jordan(s), but I don't think he completely made it up darling.

It sure is, I wonder why.
There is a double standard at work on the thread now I have had chance to read it in its entirety.

Gleb Savchenko ripped off his shirt and that was on the "family orientated" show itself.

Somehow I doubt the ladies who object to a beautiful lady posing for sexy shots immediately called OFCOM to complain about the buff gent with his top off on Strictly.

Completely agree. I'm amazed that some people have actually said Ola's calendar is 'tasteful' - its sleazy and she and James both know it...
Why is it sleazy? Because an attractive woman is posing in a provocative way? What a load of nonsense!

Sleazy has connotations of being unhand or without consent. If an attractive woman chooses to pose in a sexy way then there's nothing wrong with that - she's allowed to be sexual in any way she chooses! Anyone who judges her on that wants to take a good hard look at themselves and ask why they're so bothered or judgemental over what another human being chooses to do with her body.

In my original OP I cited it was James only who had publicly condemned the calendar.

I later discovered statements such as this in the articles discussing James apparent distaste

The shots come after controversy regarding BBC Executives asking their Strictly Come Dancing stars to tone down their provocative spin-off projects.
In particular, BBC Bosses are said to be worried that 'tacky' spin-off projects are damaging the hit show's wholesome family image.

The statement above can be found in the below link

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...6-calendar.htm

But I am not particularly interested in the BBC views on the matter, but that of DS posters..! Hence why the OP states the opinion of James only not that of the BBC.
'are said to be' is the crucial phrase.

If the BBC had sent around an EMail or letter then someone would have passed on to the media.

I suspect that the BBC would be more concerned if any of the professionals used the 'Strictly Come Dancing' brand commercially. Ola is just doing what other female professionals have done this year and in previous years.

If he started pouring milk over himself and spreading his legs, I would mind that, too. Well, on the second thought I wouldn't

I understand your point but as I have explained a few times now it was Craig and only Craig's damning critique of Ola's calendar for being "inappropriate" that I mentioned in the OP and wondered what the stance was of DS posters on the matter..not the BBC's!

I haven't seen a definition of sleazy as 'unhand or without consent' It just means vulgar. I think posing with hardly anything on, with your legs spread, pouring milk over yourself (clearly to represent what plenty of people on here have said) is a bit vulgar. If you don't agree, fine, I actually said that if she and James are happy with it then fair enough. We're all entitled to our opinions and I'm not going to tell you that you 'need to take a look at yourself' because I don't agree with yours.

Is there anything wrong with what you regard as " soft porn?"

Although I do not perceive this calendar as soft porn in all honesty but I concede that is down to personal perception.

If Ola did a calendar dressed in her jim jams with no make up on it may not sell in such large numbers., (although doubtless she would still look beautiful!)
No but then I didn't say there was, as such.
You'd have to read it all in context and then understand and then make a relevant comment,
I won't wait.

I've always been a fan of Ola - plus I agree with the sentiments expressed.

Plus - she really is a very nice person. James has a nice person somewhere within him, but a lot of other stuff too - Ola is just the good stuff, so they are different, but strangely compatible.

I'm not keen on the calendar, but I agree about James and Ola.

I think James can be pretty bitter when alone (especially on Twitter!), but they seem decent enough as a couple.
