PAC number.

I understand that it is now the responsibility of the ISP to whom you are moving your Broadband connection to get your MAC number. This was introduced in June 2015.

I vaguely remember that this rule would eventually be applied to those switching mobile telephone providers - i.e. the new Company would get the PAC number thereby speeding up the process and saving the customer the hassle of getting the number themselves. Does anyone know if this new rule yet applies or has the probability been mentioned recently.

You still need a PAC at the moment.

The last news was in the summer when Ofcom launched a consultation about making changes to the number porting process for mobile phones.
