Biggest Score Increase/Decrease
ITT just made me think of this, but what's the biggest increase and decrease in score in the space of one dance we've ever had? Because Katie's increase of 13 points and Jay's decrease of 12 points must be contenders for the records.
Has anyone ever beaten those, or did we get two records in one show?

That's alright. Dropping so may points means Jay could smash Katie's record next week.
And Katie could beat his (If indeed they did both get records) |

That sounds good to me, the Jay getting 39 I mean. I wouldn't wish bad for Anton & Katie. Even though I am supporting Jay & Aliona I still like to see the others doing well.

So I'll be looking out for Katie scoring 20, and Jay 39, then?

Just pointing out that it's entirely possible that both could Do the opposite again this week. |

I worked this out somewhere in the spoiler thread but the biggest drop I could find was 13 points for Chris Parker from his foxtrot to his samba. No idea what the biggest climb is - it all gets a bit complex when you have to take into account double weeks. For example from Matt DA's Sat On The Stairs Foxtrot to his Perfect Waltz is a gap of 14 points, but those are both two dance weeks so I'm not sure it counts. I'll give it a go later.

Oh sorry I didn't think for one minute that you were wishing them bad. I just thought I would post that to make a point as some people on here seem to think if they are supporting one person it means they have to post many posts and start numerous threads bashing others.
I love seeing brilliant dancing! |

Katie also has a major disadvantage of Georgia having the same dance, which will make the contrast even bigger. Looking forward what Georgia can do, as for now we don't have any female celeb who can pull off a truly great latin dance. |

Just checked and as far as I can tell an increase of 13 points is a record increase from one dance to the next, chronologically. Before this a 12 point increase had happened four times (James Martin : Jive to Waltz ; John Barnes - Foxtrot to Salsa ; Michael Vaughan - Cha Cha to Quickstep ; Richard Arnold - Foxtrot to Charleston)
(NB : this is excluding guest judges obv) |
