He said he was having a knee replacement. No reason to think it's a joke or that he won't be on this week, as long as it goes well.

He said he was going in today for a knee op but he'll be back next week as normal

Hope it was uncomplicated and that he has lots of good painkillers.

I wonder if they will still have the judges dancing entrance while Len watches on from his already seated position.

12 years ago, I had a complete knee replacement with a morphine pump for the first day, was up walking round the bed with a walking frame the next, crutches and physio on the third, fourth and fifth and home on day 6 without pain killers. It's amazing how they do it nowadays - back in the 1970s I had strong pain killers and flat on my back in bed with six layers of bandages for 10 days just for a cartilage operation.

Craig didn't miss a week when he had a hip replacement.

I am amazed you managed without painkillers so soon after your op. I have had hip and knee replacements this year and the knee was particularly painful for a couple of weeks afterwards. I must be a softy. Maybe Len is made of sterner stuff.

Maybe they should check his faculties at the same time whilst he's there.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Anton and Brendan carry him in.

Hope it all went well for him yesterday.

I wish Len a very speedy recovery.

I presume ITT was recorded earlier in the day which is why she did not mention him.

Remember Phil Tuffnell having knee surgery in the middle if the competition. Fortunately he was fine to dance again by the Saturday.

My cartilage operation in the 80s was frankly a disaster (both knees). Perhaps it's more complicated than it sounds... .

I hope it went well .

Just wish those judges would take at least a couple of weeks off to recuperate and we could see another person in their place . Would love to see Erin in Len's place for a couple of weeks .

People vary in results.

My cartilage operation was a disaster and never resolved itself. For the knee replacement, I had crutches instead of walking sticks because I have rheumatoid arthritis (which is currently flaring) and couldn't hold sticks, but could walk without them after 5 weeks and was driving at six. Wasn't aware that it wasn't my real knee by then - and it's still good. A friend is still suffering after over a year.

Doesn't seem to be any logical reason why some are an immediate success and others take a lot longer. Craig was fine with his hip. Hopefully Len will be OK quickly as well, but we will see.

Wishing Len well!! So Craig had a hip op, and now Len with his knee. I've come to the conclusion dancing is bad for you!!!!

Shame it wasn't to have a 'niceness' transfusion as he seems to have lost all his, especially with the studio audience. Perhaps he could have had an egobotomy as well as I'm sure he'll grow another over-inflated one very quickly.
