Welcome to the official launch show/live show #1 of NTA 9 hosted by me and sometimes Rick (EndofSanity). Everyone is really excited about this series and there are lots of acts to show you.

ARRAN
Tinashe - Wildfire
The song I've chosen for Tinashe is "Wildfire" off of her debut major studio album Aquarius. With over 5 'albums' worth of material to choose from, I decided to go for a song that perfectly bridged between her more alternative music, and the more urban sound that the radio plays. Despite her biggest hit being '2 On', that is simply the tip of the iceberg for the talented artist. I really wanted to show you that her vocals, production, and vocal style in general are something that shouldn't be underestimated because of the style of her radio single. She's great, and she's someone that you should all pay attention to. The song shows a great mix of coal styles, and has a great bridge between a more mainstream and indie audience. Enjoy.

Janelle Monaé - Cold War
Janelle's an artist who has great music and a great persona. With her concept album trilogy being a critical success, it was really hard to choose which song to introduce her with tonight, but in the end I went with one of the singles off of her album 'The ArchAndroid'. The song is actually a brilliant song showing off her distinct tone and hopefully setting her up to be a contender in the show. I think Janelle in particular is a standout due to the philosophical and political role that she sometimes implements into her song, whilst not making them any less enjoyable. Often with her label (Wondaland) her music makes positive impacts and aids her label mates. The song 'Cold War' is a brilliant song that I hope you all enjoy!

I picked Agnes because she's like, the ultimate underrated Nordic goddess. She has so many strengths, not least her INSANE voice and the emotional depth she brings to her work, but I love her because she works with so many great producers - her work is always impeccably crafted.

Intro: With a career spanning over 2 decades Usher should be fairly recognizable to more than just one group of people. With a career branching out from just singing to dancing, song writing and even acting I'm hoping Usher can bring something a bit different to the competition with his range of tracks over the years Pic
Song: 'You Remind Me'
I chose this song because despite not being one of his most current, it demonstrates classic Usher and is a song most people will know. The title "You Remind Me" I also felt was fitting in reminding of some of the classics this guys brought us over the years and hopefully he will get the chance to showcase others as well as some of his current material to show he's not a one trick pony
Beyonce
Intro: As if Beyonce needs an introduction After making her name in the 90's as part of Destiny's Child, Beyonce has gone on to become one of the worlds best selling artists selling over 118 million albums worldwide. With countless awards under her belt including 20 Grammy awards, Beyonce has certainly shown she could be a force to be reckoned with (no I'm not talking about the Illuminati) Pic
Song: 'Ave Maria'
I think this performance shows off Beyonce's incredible vocal range (as do the majority of her tracks) but with this being a more understated song of hers there are less expectations so you have to really listen to appreciate it. I think it shows off her vocal ability and control without the need to be too showy and OTT, while still holding onto the power she has to really make an impact with her performance
