To be fair, "Little Mix" was, and still is, a terrible name. It sounds like a brand of cat food or something.

That said, these are maybe even a hair worse. "4th Impact" is just a moronic name. It sounds like something a newscaster would say after 4 pieces of space garbage from orbit collide with the Earth. "Alien Uncovered" is just verbose sounding. If they really had to keep "Alien" in it, I'd hope that some alternate spelling or active sounding second word would be better than the passive one they used. I won't pretend to get "BEKLN Mile", then again I didn't get "BEKLN" without "Mile" either. And "Melody Stone" sounds like some lame 80s soft rock act, not a contemporary gospel act. "New Kings Order" COULD be worse than it is, but it mostly just sounds like the random results of a word jumble. "Reggie n Bollie", as crap as it sounds, may be the only improvement of these... just because very little could have been worse than the name "Menn on Poinnt".

Those names are awful!

Hilarious and awful names!

Melody Stone is like rhyming slang for their old name, Silver Tone (which sounds like a hair dye)

New Kings Order - what would New Order say?!

Reggie n Bollie - Original. Reminds me of Dick and Dom, going for the kid's market. Menn on Point was a lot better.

Belkn Mile? More like Belkin Inch, they're a bunch of dwarves.

In the pictures with the new names it looks like first Kings have a new member, can they do that half way through the competition.?

Itt rreally wasnnt!

Not that Reggie n Bollie is any good. It's moronic. But Menn on Poinnt (you forgot an extraneous "n") just was hard to remember how to spell properly, so it's bad branding. At best it sounded like a bad 90s R&B group, so it also wasn't current sounding. Again, not that what they replaced it with is really better in that regard either--the whole "n" thing instead of an & or "and" is also super-dated. Really if it had just been Reggie and Bollie or Reggie & Bollie, that wouldn't have been great, but it would have been better than the stupid thing with the "n".

Whilst i agree that silly spellings are just plain silly, they're very 'now'. Look at The Weeknd.

Terrible, awful, nonsensical names - none of which roll off the tongue easily (which I suspect is one of the main things for getting a good band name). It really doesn't matter much anyway - other that 4th Power/Impact, absolutely none of them are going to get very far in the competition, and I suspect even 4th Impact won't see it to the final.

Seems a bit drastic to change all 6. Surely they weren't all taken?

Somebody on Twitter said Melody Stone sounds like a minor Harry Potter character. SO SO accurate.

When the producers were looking for a name for Stereo Kicks, they said that they like a name that has two words. This is reflected here. Think about all the name changes there's ever been in XF - pretty much every time, it's gone from one word to two.

Alien Uncovered is a stupid name. I thought Alien Vibe would've been good.

This must be joke. No one would think these names are anything but terrible. Melody Stone & Alien Uncovered fgs lol why would you change your groups name to this??!?

Using the basis of the old names, assuming they DID all have to change, and I admit also assuming the new names I'm making up now were available (meaning not trademark protected in the major markets--the UK and US), here's what I'd use...

Alienation for Alien. Why? It's a pun! (and also a statement about being socially malcontented). If that's taken, then Alien Identity.

4Play for 4th Power. That probably IS taken though so an alternate is FourTune. It's another pun!

Absolute no ideas for BEKLN. I have no clue. The stupid name is their first INITIALS. How do you honor the spirit of that? It's a dumb name, but you'd have to go generic.

Sister Tone for Silver Tone. Alternate... InTone.

Royal Youth for The First Kings. Alternate... We Kings.

On Pointe for Menn on Poinnt. The extra "e" might have made it available. Alternate? No clue.

These names sound like names for a kids party band! They are nothing special and really 4th power should have been the only ones with a name change due to the fact of it being taken!

Kromm, I love your suggestions.

Alien Uncovered is particularly awful, but Alien was never a good band name to start with.

Dick and Head more like.

Melody Stone could be Joss Stone's tone deaf sister.

Reggie and Bollie - how about Rigor and Mortis
Melody Stone - Tomb Stone

FourTune was already used in X Factor 2005.

Melody Stone replied to someone on Insta saying they shou;dve kept the "Silver" bit:

melodystoneofficial@fjackp we had to get rid of the silver it's all about the technical legal stuff 🙈🙈 we really wanted to keep silver too! Thank you so much 💜💜

Interesting that Alien Beklyn and fourth power still have the first word the same, the others are completely different. Could this be an indicator of preference, as will be easier to find online.first kings and silver tone have no chance.menn on point continually give their names, so they could be the third instead of Beklyn

I read somewhere that all of Alien's social media was under the name Alien Global. Why not use that?

Yes, they are -

Melody Stone - Some kind of singing brick?

New Kings Order - Fast food takeaway?

Reggie n Bollie - John and Edward, black version

Belkn Mile? - London based prison drama?
