[ sorry not read the previous posts - just responding to the original question of the thread ]

we need a digital quick response to say the aforementioned ...maybe A2Q ....

so important as the gut instinct response is important ... sometimes and foolishly misplaced other times ...and A2Q kind of explains the context of the response ... maybe there is something used already?
---------------------
A2Q

it depends what you want the song for
im basing my response on heartbreak songs that while they made me sad, teary, emotional they also gave me strength ...

tear in your hand - tori amos
doesn't mean anything - alicia keys
you outta know - alanis morisette

If you want a real "belter," this is quite old now, but I still play it now and again.

I can just imagine someone newly divorced would enjoy joining in the chorus

Jo Dee Messina, "Bye Bye."

I'm not sure if this would go down to well, but I'd give anything to be there if it was played

Peter Hammill - Betrayed www.youtube.com/watch?v=fN0wxPeWWAg

or if you want something more catchy... Sharply Unclear www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCjIPsdf4tM

or
On Tuesday She Used To Do Yoga - www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfr9ndkWxpA

In fact why not play the entire Over album? Guaranteed to break the ice at parties.

I heard a brilliant one on the radio yesterday by Carol Bayer Sager called 'You're Moving Out Today' which did make me laugh.

If it's a bitter break up then I'm Free by The Violent Femmes

If it is not so bitter then Circle by Edie Brickell and The New Bohemians

The obvious one:-

D.I.V.O.R.C.E - Tammy Wynette
(although I much prefer the parody of this song by Billy Connolly).
You beat me to it!
