The last few episodes have been absolutely dreadful. The scripts are completely flat. I could not believe that large amounts of Friday's episodes were dedicated to Amy learning to play the violin. If they had actually attempted to make the scenes funny, maybe they would have been bearable, but there was no drama or comedy - so just what was the point of this storyline?

There are so many boring two-dimensional characters hogging the limelight when they really don't deserve to. It's almost as if the writers decided to give all their 'c-list' characters airtime at once to get them out of the way. But it's not fair on the viewers to inflict such tedium on them at any time of the year, let alone the peak of autumn when viewing figures should be at their highest.

But even that is going round in circles with not much plot development.

Not a great recommendation, since it was basically a rerun of the last few episodes, anyway. But yes, the rest was dreadful. The factory's turned into a farce, fizz and hope I FF through, Steph can't act, which ruins the whole of that storyline.

It's reached the point where the only scenes worth watching are those involving Tracy or the Nazirs. Which is not a nice thing to say.

The Connor family have always been awful, no matter who they bring in. Only Carla has turned out to be a decent character.

And even then I find her repetitive.

Not going through a good spell. Only thing that's in it's favour at the moment is that it's still nowhere near as awful as Eastenders.

Why bring Eastenders into it? Quite pathetic really when you have to slag off a rival soap in a thread about how bad Corrie is at the moment.

They always get compared to each other. No matter what thread. You need to calm down. Did they manage to hit a nerve?

For me, he is one of the very worst things - and there are many of them!

Eastenders is miles ahead in quality right now of Corrie. Maybe it's not perfect, but at least it is interesting.

Corries last few episodes have been tedious. There are so many new characters who I don't like.
Stupid stories and irritants like Gary and that girl suddenly getting married at Christmas, And the pathetic Connors and the factory farce, The dreary Fizz storyline, Tracy and that weird looking fella, Maria and the boy racer, Tony and his poor diction.

I'm glad to hear Jason is going along with others.

Wow that's harsh! Does it occur to you that character based stories such as Amy learning the violin and Roy and Cathy's relationship may just be more appealing to people than characters coming back from the dead and ridiculous murder trials! Ratings suggest there are many who are less bored with Corrie
I watch both soaps and corrie has been dull since Blackburn has taken over. Eastenders is okay.

Your attitude is embarrassing . I watch all soaps and I have to say at the minute corrie is more enjoyable for me . I am not enjoying EE at present but as I said that's MY opinion , others will differ and rightly so . Doesn't may anyone pathetic for enjoying /not enjoying it .
Like your attitude. He can clearly see this was a corrie thread and he had to bring ee in to the thread to troll.

I really like the new Connors too. Admittedly, I found their scenes quite boring on Monday but that was because they were in a boring meeting. Hope they get a good storyline soon - and give me them any day of the week over the Nazirs.

IMO the only half decent story atm is the Platts trying to deal with Callum's death. They've been great and I'm loving the return of Evil David. Apart from than that I'm just waiting for Rob's return.

Corrie isnt great at all ATM, but I did actually enjoy the scenes with Amy and the violin on Friday, just a bit of character based light relief. As for the Connors, I like Aidan but I havent taken to Johnny yet.

That was uncalled for
Okay I am sorry for saying that. He doesn't need to bring eastenders in the topic when it clearly a corrie thread.

I used to love Shayne Ward when he was on X Factor, but his character in Corrie is so tedious. I don't know whether that is the writers' fault or just his acting style. But he has failed to make any impact at all for me.

I like his character. Sarah Harding was appalling.

Carla is awful. Lurches from one self-inflicted drama to the next - each one being swiftly forgotten about, even though it was the worst thing in the world in the previous episode. And that VOICE. She's a total bore.
