What I want to know is who chooses the songs?? Why can't the professionals have some say so, after all they have to choreograph the dances!!!!

Brendan chose his last week so we must presume that they do sometimes have a say.

What is Georgias music like Iv'e never heard it
It's disco. Great for dancing 3-count Hustle; but impossible for Salsa. Unless you do a Skorjanec Salsa choreography. Good luck to Giovanni!

Isn't Jeremy a massive fan of Elvis Costello?

He'll be pleased with the song choice and will probably be keen to do it justice.
Charles Aznavour wrote it though and had the number one with it. is Costello's version more suited to the dance?

Ainsley and Natalie are doing the Jive to Bill Haley and the Comets Shake Rattle and Roll

Anita and Gleb are dancing the Tango to Temper Trap’s Sweet Disposition

Carol and Pasha are dancing the Viennese Waltz to Seal’s I’ve Been Loving You Too Long

Georgia and Giovanni are dancing the Salsa to Sylvester’s You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)

Helen and Aljaz are doing the Quickstep to Diana Ross and the Supremes’ You Can’t Hurry Love

Jamelia and Tristan are dancing the Foxtrot to Celine Dion’s Because You Loved Me

Jay and Aliona are doing the Paso to Bon Jovi’s It's My Life

Jeremy and Karen are dancing the Waltz to Elvis Costello’s She

Katie and Anton are dancing the Salsa to Michael Buble’s It Had Better Be Tonight

Kellie and Kevin are doing the Jive to One Direction’s One Way Or Another

Kirsty and Brendan are dancing the Viennese Waltz to David Gray’s This Year’s Love

And Peter and Janette are dancing the Rumba to Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud

I really wish we could here some traditional music for the Tango and Paso. I really hated the music for both Carol and Kirsty's Pasos. Who decides it?

It'll be more of a disco salsa.

So that the producers can manipulate the results to a degree. Give a contestant they want out a terrible song.

I really wish Peter hadn't of got thinking out loud it is such a perfect rumba song and it would of been beautiful if someone who was a better dancer got it. I feel like the performance is going to be very contrived.

Anot is my favorite but she's getting all her interesting dances early in the series i.e Charleston, samba and American Smooth. I don't want her being lumped with waltz and foxtrot in the later weeks and get out shined by flashy content

Yes, I'm a bit concerned about that too.

Based on this week's dances I think Carol, Jeremy and Kirsty could all struggle to get votes performing the slower dances.

I hope Peter pulls of his Rumba because if goes wrong I will not be able to watch the dance in the video to Ed Sherran Thinking Out Loud again without compairing it.

It'll be more of a disco salsa.
Even Abbey disco salsa had a more adequate song. You Make Me Feel is really fast and if Davearch slows it down it'll probably sound like some drunken Chipmunks.

Kirsty's song is so boring and I'm afraid her Waltz will be forgettable.

Katie & Anton and Jeremy & Karen have the best song choices but Helen & Aljaz will shine the brightest this week with their quickstep.

Another naff song for Jay & Aliona
I feel like this with Kellie & Kevin

I suppose it could work........maybe

Some of the song choices this year are really horrendous. I know it happens every year but this year it seems more often so far

I'd like this tune to be used for a salsa Lewis in the future, it was on the geordie shore playlist last night on the Greek odyssey:

He probably wouldn't have gone wrong if they hadn't made him do a flaming quickstep to 'My chuffing Generation'!!!!!!!!
'Reach for the Stars' goes at a much gentler pace.

That's pretty much the only one I know.

I reckon Jeremy's going to nail the waltz.

I do hope so. I'd love to see him do a beautiful, elegant waltz.

Again this week some of the music choices are bizarre. Poor Georgia and Jay

I love This Years Love. One of my favourite songs. No pressure Kirsty

BBC haven't thought the songs through enough.
