Plenty of people have now given their alternative view on what Kirsty actually meant when she said she didn't put a foot wrong in her paso but none of them have explained why she said 'what!?!?!?' after the judges scored her salsa. Is there any other explanation than that she thought she deserved more points?
I've mentioned it before. The comments given for the dance were encouraging, and didn't really match what she was given score-wise.

Also, she looked up at Brendan as though she was worried she'd let him down.

Again, all of them have had to put up with that plus the judges weren't exactly raving about it.

She looked at Brendan and said 'really?!?!'

I know what you mean, but I suppose it's all about interpretation.

I didn't really take it to mean she had an inflated sense of her abilities, it just seemed to be from a sense of disappointment...albeit poorly conveyed.

Possibly it was that. We have so little to go on that seemingly small things like that make an impression and probably it's had an impact on her vote.

I do think though that she looks good in rehearsals so this week could be a good one. She's in hold which I think is preferable for her and quite possibly the judges will match their good comments with good scores It's not too late for a turnaround in public opinion either. Still early days.

Very true! Hoping she can turn it around.

I thought those scores for her salsa were rather harsh. She was fine with the 5 from Craig, but clearly expected the others to go a bit higher. I mean, a 5 is pretty much the lowest mark you can get from the other three judges. It wasn't that bad, was it?
Should she have concealed her disappointment/surprise/disagreement, whatever it was, better? Yes, Ideally she should. But she's only human, and the nerves and adrenalin will play tricks on you.

I'm sorry but yes it really was that bad and the judges were being generous by giving it five points, it was truly terrible, don't know how she could have thought otherwise.

Totally agree. I thought Craig was very generous. I think we are going to see a different Kirsty today. With all the feed backs from her froum friends, she will be more humble. My prediction for today.

Maybe it's just me but I am not really bothered about how anyone reacts to comments or scores or how they come across on ITT.
Speaking personally I take all that out of the equation and am only really bothered about which performances I enjoy the most on each Saturday night.
If Kirsty or anyone else delivers a good performance then fair play to them. If not then there is always next week (assuming they avoid elimination).
Very philosophical about the whole thing as far as the dancing is concerned.

Good for you sam..wish I could be so uncritical.

Sadly, I do find myself being swayed about a contestants reaction. I find Kirsty very off putting and quite full of herself and her dancing ability. Her reactions have left me quite surprised and not in a good way.( I felt the same with that Craig chappie who really thought he was Fred Astaire)
