I am on EE with a 6GB plan, I usually use about half of it. Ironically, I also have my second phone with a Three One Plan and I just recently cancelled it because in the two years I have had unlimited data I only once used more than 1GB in a month.

I'm on a Three pay monthly plan that gives me unlimited data (AYCE).
I tend to consume around 6.5GB per month without access to WiFi at work. However, it all depends on how much I use the phone. There are months that I have surpassed 30GB and other months with less than 3.5GB. Now that I have an iPhone, I have a feeling that my usage will start rounding around 10GB a month. I rarely use their tethering, because it is not unlimited. |

To the people that are shocked to how I can use so much data. Any video that is available in 1440p on YouTube, I will watch it at that resolution. I usually have a few YouTube videos as well as some videos from Vessel. There is a lot of time to kill on a bus. Then during the day, I may have taken some photos and screenshots which are all uploaded to Google Photos on LTE. On Wednesday's there is PMQs which I watch live so there is a bit there as well. I may even have some app updates. As you can tell, it's quite easy to go over 1GB in a day for me.

On my AYCE Three SIM only plan, still at £12.90 pm, I use less than 500mb per month. Still, rather have the allowance and not need it, etc....

When I was on three I used anywhere from 6 - 10gb a month mainly on Google play/Spotify, sky go watching the grand prix at weekends when I should be working and I player, this shot up to 16gb a month recently which I think was due to lots of speed testing due to signal issues and swapping phones a few times as music apps cache what you play it had to start all over again,
On a 20gb plan with Vodafone now with 3 months unlimited data. And with having much improved signal in car and 4g at home blowing my adsl out the water it will be interesting to see what my usage is... There does seem a common theme here of mobiles having to sub rubbish home broadband connections. BT are such b**tards... |

That is nuts. No wonder 3 want to stop it as that is just excessive. You have to wonder why they don't just kick you off the network.
I am not on this plan but surely if someone offers literally unlimited with no silly fair usage then people can us a 1tb if they wish |

These days anywhere between 10GB and 100GB. I'm on 3's unlimited plan. Why people get shocked at high downloads is beyond me in this day and age. And the name "unlimited" gives it away as to how you can use your data on your phone.
I would struggle if I came off an unlimited plan, but I'm sure I'd cope somehow! Mark |

On 27gb at the moment, will probably be around 30gb when the month is up. Used 7gb YouTube, 7gb Netflix, 3.6gb Spotify, 1gb podcasts and the rest is from other apps and web browsing. This is just usage from work as I'll be on WiFi at home.

I use 500mb per month. Ideally I'd have 1gb data as sometimes run out, but can't afford that.

Cable is shared medium over radio. Just radio delivered over a cable rather than over the air.
On 3's AYCE, I used between 1GB and 20GB per month, Now surviving fairly easily on a 10GB/Ultd/Ultd Vodafone contract |

t The point is that wireless communication is ultimately a finite resource. Yes we keep finding more efficient ways of using it, but it is most definitely a finite resource and the end stop will eventually be reached. Wired connections are virtually infinite. |

I've used 12GB since 6th October. I average around 20GB a month. That mostly includes Netflix and streaming music.

I normally use around 7-15GB. That's mostly made up of streaming music.
So if Three stop doing unlimited there are several 20GB plans to look at, or a 10GB one and me making the effort to lower my usage.. Although I'd resent doing that! |

I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed.
I've used 2.4gb this year, as in since last October. I have 500Mb per month and may use half of it but that's just on my phone. |

I class my EE plan as unlimited as it's 50GB a month and I have tried to hit that limit but never go anywhere near it. I use Wi-Fi wherever possible. Usually use 10-15GB on mobile and 20GB-ish on Wi-Fi.
So far, I am 3 days into my bill cycle and I've used 500MB - so if I keep the usage the same throughout the month it'll be about 5GB this month. |

Why do you pay all that for 50GB if you only use 10-15GB a month?

But it's an automatic assumption of those who say it promotes mass network congestion. I can't say that xGB or yGB on a limited data plan is enough data definitely for sure. To have to keep checking my data balance every few minutes after the 2GB monthly allowance is down to the last 50MB to avoid running out of data and then racking up excessive overcharges would be a bit of a nonsense. "You don't need unlimited data" the naysayers say. But it's more of an insurance to make sure I don't run out of data before the end of the month, not to consume something like 100GB or 120GB of data every month. |

I've found my way back to an 'unlimited' (with FUP) data plan and i've been on it 2 days and have used around 250mb so far. Going well
