That should shake up the ratings with all the 1D fans tuning in.”

I agree, and they should get rid of Grimshaw, he's a radio dj.

I don't think he would do very well though. His voice kind of grates and personality isn't exactly memorable.”

I always perceived him to be the most vacuous of the One Direction guys tbh .

Why wouldn't it be? It's one of the top 10 programs on TV.

Who will get the boot in favour of him??

If Rita is available I'd say she will be safe.

So it's either between Grimbore or Cheryl.

Grimmy would be easier to dump, but Cheryl isn't really relevant any more.

Do we really want more of her bitching if she is dropped for a 2nd time??

I expect Cheryl will be taking a baby break next year so perfect time for a clear out - needs some people with real music industry knowledge - like Pete Waterman on the UK version and LA Reid in the States - they write music, scout talent and audition - only someone like that can possibly judge these contests. While Cheryl and Louis have the talent comp experience, they can't judge a great singer or decide what is relevant.
It's like last year's winner of Crufts deciding who should win Miss World!

As long as he follows the instructions of The Dark Lord like the others

Whatever you think of Cheryl, in order to get in her group she had to perform solo for weeks and compete against other singers. She put herself up for scrutiny and succeeded. With Louis we didn't hear him sing til after the show was over.”

Well put. Comparing artists who have had longevity and a wealth of experience and knowledge of the music industry, with a lad with an about average voice, and who have only been in the industry for a relatively short period of time is quite absurd really.

What?

He was so wooden, personality void last night.

Well, it certainly didn't give a ratings boost last night!

All he did last night was agree with Simon, we barely heard any of his own opinions.

As for whether the show will be back next year ...... the more contrived it gets and the more manipulation, the worse it gets.

Are youngsters these days so stoopid they believe all the clap trap?

Dermot was on the money getting out of this, leaving Murs and Flack to look like drivers with no control of the runaway train crash!

Mrs Tomlinson sure did wonders for the ratings last night...

There was absolutely nothing about him last night.

He was dead behind the eyes. Lights on and no one home.

Just wooden. He rarely smiled and when he did smile it looked force. It also seemed quite awkward in parts between him and Simon.

It's a figure of speech.

Very little personality. Bland, beige, wooden...etc etc.

Saying there was nothing about someone isn't really a figure of speech. It doesn't make sense. You could say there was nothing good about someone etc.

It does to me.

Read between the lines.

Pedantic much?

Not really. It's along the same lines as people who say they could care less. Nonsensical.

Saying, there's nothing about someone... could be interpreted in different ways.

I didn't just say that. I used other words to support what I meant.

He will have to take acting lessons. His acting at judges' houses was even less convincing than Simon's is.

Well he was a radio DJ when he got the job so what's changed

Exactly. Some have described Grimmy as Deer caught in the headlights well Louis was like the deer but run over. He made me feel uncomfortable to watch. When he expressed a view, albeit a generic one, but his boss differed he immediately concurred

Cracked me up when he said "a bit cabaret"

I bet he's not even seen a cabaret show let alone been to one. Karaoke maybe!
