Corrie: Aiden Connor seals a knickers deal - SO WHAT!!
It was supposed to be a night of entertainment.
![]() Aiden Connor sealing a knickers deal for the factory. So what!! This isn't entertainment. It's boring. ![]() I sat through this drivel as Aiden's dad embarrassed Matthew Singh who (haha, hee hee) was the son and not the deceased dad, as Aiden's dad thought. Zzzzzzzzzzzz... The whole thing was like one of those school programmes the BBC used to produce in the mid 1980s, to help kids learn maths, Indeed, I apologize because some of those old BBC educational programmes were entertaining. When will the Connor rot stop? I don't care about any of them!! |

I don't mind them. They come across as a likeable and believable family and Corrie hardly has any strong family units left.

And anyway, the point is, the storyline was drab. |

It was pretty repetitive, as is any plot revolving around Underworld.
Characters go to see an important client Something goes wrong during the meeting and client is about to walk off However they explain themselves and win the client round and get the order Why was the sister there? She works in packing. I can see her being instantly promoted to working in that office. |

As long as the characters and the actors are good, they can introduce another 10 Connors for all I care! |

I'm with you GB.
It's not so much the Connors that annoy me but the factory itself. Kate seems like a potentially good character although I'm completely on the fence with Aidan and Johnny. The same basic scenes have been playing out at the factory for the past 40 years but with Johnny Briggs as Mike and the likes of Pat Phoenix, Lynne Perrie and Liz Dawn carrying the show through the 70s and 80s, they were interesting if not bearable at the very least. Sadly, today the factory ensemble is nowhere near what it was in the past - even during the rejuvenation of the factory in the late 90s with Ida, Janice, Karen and Hayley it was Shakespearian compared to what we have today. Izzy, Sean, Fiz and Sinead all squawking about while Carla and the other Connors bumble around from one mishap to another. Only Sally and Beth are anywhere near the stronger characters of the past. The factory is dated and the constantly boring cycle of stories has been wearing thin for the past 10 years or so. It's really time for the factory to go. |

We saw how stupid Johnny is and he's supposed to be a manager. How the hell is he going to manage the business? Perhaps more shouting of ' Oi, get back to work you lot,' will be his style? ![]() Johnny kept insisting that Matthew have a drink because Matthew senior liked a drink. Only to be told eventually, 'No thanks my dad was an alcoholic and died of liver failure'. So, what was all that about? Not Corrie humour surely? ![]() And if anyone can stand the excitement:
Spoiler
Not boding well for Underworld's future is it? |
