The Angus and Zinnie thing was never going to happen though, was it? Going home to tell your parents that you are now engaged but not taking your fiance with you so they could meet him! What was that all about?

I didn't realise she had parents around. Where were they when there was all that cafuffle with the rape case?

Yeah Zinnie died. Shame - she really came into herself in the last year or so. Feel sorry for Angus and Bob too!
Not too sure about her parents. They were rarely mentioned

I wasn't a fan of Zinnie when she first joined the show, but I've grown to like her, particularly since the rape (charming....but it seemed to make her more human). Angus I think is wonderful, even if he does look like a young Stanley Baxter, and I thought they made a lovely couple.

Her exit seemed awfully rushed somehow, and the fling with Stevie totally out of character. And as for voluntary work in Nepal? Nah. Zinnie is very much a home comforts kind of girl. I'm sure the fling was a plot device for Stella finding out further down the line and whatever else, but...meh.

While I'm sorry to see Zinnie go (why, oh why couldn't it have been Scarlett??) I'd miss Lenny more, and really hope that he pulls through.

I'm not too fussed about Zinnie being written out. The rape storyline was very good though. Her character was well acted then.

I was waiting on Alex smothering Lennie with a pillow when Kelly Marie left the room!

Ha ha! Bet he would've if he thought he could get away with it.

I thought that Lenny making Kelly Marie his next of kin was rather touching. I wonder if their relationship will change if he survives. She did seem genuinely upset at one point, and not just on Cal's behalf.

I'm a bit gutted that Zinnie has been killed off. I wonder if the actress quit or was fired, but it regardless, it seems to be the way in River City that hardly anyone can leave with the door left open.

I did found it pretty stupid that we didn't see Angus and Zinnie's parents interact. Or that Amber didn't come to see Lenny in hospital (even if off-screen).

I'd disagree with you on that one. Actually, thinking about that made me reminisce about some of the great characters over the years... There have been relatively few deaths, IIRC, although the Hendersons did get disproportionately clobbered.

Agree - Brian is in care and never mentioned by Eileen.
George, Moira, Kirsty, Alice, Deek and Raymond all met their maker. Great characters! Alice's offscreen death I always felt was unfair and she was a great character. Never agreed with Raymond's death and was gutted when Deek left.
Think Stuart is the last remaining Henderson.

I will miss Zinny. I preferred her to the depressing Stella.
