I'm starting to like Elle, I think she has some common sense.
Vana was one of my favourites from auditions but I think she was a bad pm and is likely to go soon |

The look from Vana when Jenny said good luck said it all.
I hope she's gone next. And that's despite the fact I can't stand Joseph and Richard. |

Vana should have been fired. I don't think she was a good team leader at all - as Elle said, if the items had been delegated better, they'd have got a better result and the issue with Jenny not buying anything probably wouldn't have arisen. Besides, I don't think that Vana has been as good in the other tasks as people think. People forget that on the first task, she might have sold well, but the mess-up with the costings was a joint effort between her and Dan. Dan took the rap for that while Vana swam free and last time she got credit for choosing the market to go for (and fair play, she did well there) but I don't think she's that great generally.
I am also liking Elle, I think she could go far. I was really disappointed that Jenny went. I think she could have done a lot better, and I didn't think it was really her fault that they lost. I disagree with Karren's 'you should have spoken to the restaurant manager' thing, because I don't think it would have made a blind bit of difference - if that was the last of their stock of mussels, they'd have had to pay more than the difference for every customer who would purchase a mussels recipe, which most likely would have been way too much. If they'd stayed and tried to negotiate, they wouldn't have got them, and Lord Sugar would have said, 'You were told very clearly that they weren't going to sell you these mussels, so why did you waste so much time arguing about it?' The only person that I would have fired over Vana would have been Natalie, had she been brought in. She's treading water - she purchased the horrible low-quality shrimp, she did a horrible low-quality pitch and she appeared to do very little on this task. It seems that she and Vana are in cahoots. I very much doubt she'll get much further. |

I'm thinking Vana and Elle might have decent business plans and they are quite bolshy characters, unlike Jenny who was quite quiet and didn't seem to want to clash with anyone. I guess the producers and such probably realise losing someone like Jenny wouldn't harm them as much as losing one of the bigger characters.

Vana not looking likely to stay much longer - like how she looks loads like Alanis Morissette though.
Quite liking Elle, strangely. Think she'll get far and be fired "with regret" - maybe a Daniel character? |

Interesting. I actually think that Jenny came across as quite spunky. The way she spoke up for herself in the end there sounded as though she isn't the type to take prisoners. If I was a producer, I would keep her in for longer. Not that I think that entertainment is a major factor in Lord Sugar's decisions.

But Vana has a big conflict brewing with Selina and Elle has the tendency to rub people up the wrong way, whilst Jenny was pretty forceful in sticking up for herself she doesn't come across as a very bitchy, catty person who'd be quite happy to snark and fight their way through a task. Her business idea could also have been weak or not something SAS was interested in.

I don't get it either. I think losing Jenny was a big mistake.

Lord Sugar doesn't always keep in people who cause the most arguments though. Steven last year was fired in Week 4, the first time he was in the boardroom. In fact, he was fired pretty much because he was difficult to work with, because his actual business instincts were normally quite accurate.

Karren gave me the impression that she doesn't like Vana.

Elle was pathetic and has been from the start
Vana was an okay PM, at least she made decisions unlike Ella who was just pathetic Jenny did nothing in three tasks, right pick for her to go. |

Oh I know but we have to remember he is making a tv show, maybe out of the three of them all their business plans are tosh but Elle and Vana are just considered more entertaining, I don't know. Elle I kind of warmed to a little tonight, Vana should have been out the door though.

i agree she would stll be there if she had the business plan he wanted. I don't see the argument for losing someone whose been quieter and keeping someone who has proved difficult to work with and made a series of bad decisions. He sent aomeone home last week who had the same faults as Vana - ignoring good advice and making bad decisions. |

![]() As for Elle, she is improving a bit, but still too childish to make the final five at this point (I would refer to a clip from the intro, but that would be considered a spoiler; even if it is likely to be from next week's episode). |

Yeah - don't like episodes where there are obviously other reasons for the firing,
Where the person fired wan't the main reason for why the task was lost. |

I think Vana should have gone. But it seems that Lord Sugar is prepared to forgive horrific mistakes, as long as the person owns them and doesn't try to blame someone else for them. Rather that than trying to stay in the background and contributing nothing.

Vana definitely should have gone. She was an atrocious PM who saw her position as a power trip over the other women and let it inflate her already sizeable ego to the extent that she refused to listen to other sensible points of view and strategies. She repeatedly pulled faces when selina or elle were speaking and she mocked jenny's speech at the end. She has no respect, she is abrasive and she was the failure of the task. Lord sugar definitely fired the wrong person, although jenny should have persued the manager of the restaurant they approached a little more before giving up.

Go Elle!
I've liked her from the start and tonight thought the way she acquitted herself in the boardroom showed maturity beyond her years. Once she'd said what she had to say, it was clear she was going nowhere. |

Jenny would probably have caused fewer conflicts, so she got the boot (despite being the least deserving to go of the final 3).
That's what this show has been reduced to these days. |

Blimey the female team is in such disarray atm.
I think between the two options of Vana and Elle, Vana possibly was the better choice for PM, she was autocratic, but Elle was a complete mess just from being sub-team leader, so gawd knows how bad she would've handled all of it. It also seems like a top idea to separate Charleine and Selina. Why oh why didn't Jenny bring up her quest to source the lace? That might have saved her. All things being equal, I thought it was going to be a triple firing, Vana finding it funny that C & S were at each others throats should've been the final nail in her coffin (although prior to the series I did say I thought her business plan might be up LAS' alley so she'd go far). Elle can't handle pressure. Jenny was just a spare wheel. |
