They married on the 22nd October 1937. Jack was 37 and Annie 28.

They were both good characters.

Don't think it'll be quite as big as Back to the Future Day.

I would if they had children They could bring them into the show and one of them could run the pub

Annie was the life and soul of the Rovers. Sanctimonious, but a proper manageress.

Please, no more "relatives coming out of the woodwork" Why would someone suddenly turn up in the area and start working in the same place their relative had 40-odd years earlier? How often does that happen in real life. It's just contrived.

I love watching Annie in the old episodes on YouTube.

When you compare the classic days of the Rovers to what it is now it really is a shame. The McDonalds just don't work in the pub.

Steve was at his peak when he was with Karen living in the flat above The Kabin and running Streetcars. Old before his time Steve gets on my nerves with his forced comedy routines and neediness over psycho Michelle. Liz who is now as much of a caricature as Bet became in her final years doesn't need the pub.
