Emma Willis

As much as I like claudia on SCD and I think she does a great job, my vote would go to emma. When she is happy she is the best host around.

Emma seems to have more followers on twitter than claudia as well.

Host of the voice uk and BBUK if it makes sense, she also hosted prized apart which was another BBC show. She is married to Matt who is a busted boy band member. She does many other shows as well.

Emma's nowhere near as funny. Her voice can grate after a while too.

What has that to do with anything?
I had the misfortune to see Emma on The Voice a series ago and her presenting wasn't anything special.

I think emma is a presenter suited for the younger generation of viewers if it adds up.

They would not want to mess with the ratings they have now for the sake of attracting a few younger viewers. SCD could get higher only if they started baking every other round.

And emma whilst known to BBC isn't known to SCD so they have to keep the regular audience if you see what I mean.

Emma Willis is the ultimate in bland. She is the female equivalent of Dermot O'Dreary, which is about as bad as it gets. She makes Tess seem quirky.

There's that to it.

Tall Paul seems to have an agenda, last few posts/threads have been associated with Big Brother.

This is Strictly NOT Big Brother, we do not want to go down the Big Brother route.
Strictly is doing very well in the ratings last few years, why would the BBC want to change the format.

Neither.
Winkers is too irritating.
Willis is just too low rent.

Are they a host of Big Brother? I don't want them.
Did they win Big Brother? I don't want them.
Is it a format like Big Brother? No, don't want that either.

I could go on, but I think you can see where I'm going with this.

Can I ask - is this idea of Emma Willis presenting Strictly actually being suggested by someone in authority, or is it just a product of the fevered imagination of a poster on here?

I have an alternative poll.

Which host would you prefer on Strictly -

a - Claudia Winkleman
b - Barry Chuckle

Why isn't Frankie Boyle on the list?

I voted Claudia - I love Claudia

besides, I have no clue who Emma Willis is and having read the replies to the thread I have discovered she is something to do with Big Brother, a show I have never watched because I think its awful

Tall Paul - I'm surprised your alternative option to Claudia isn't male

I voted Claudia. I like Emma but Claudia's a much more interesting presenter IMO.

Hopefully he'll be dancing on the show next year

That's one cat I'd like to see amongst the pigeons.

Ideally with Kristina.

I think she is too old hat for BB now...she should leave it to rylan!

Talk about Hobsons Choice, why is there not a neither option?

Why is there not the option of someone who is competent in presenting live television?

If Emma Willis is the best alternative anyone can come up with I despair.

This thread reminds me that it could be someone like Rylan, either presenting or competing.
