Never heard of her.

What's BBUK?

I assume it's Big Bother UK - don't tell me there's another Big Brother somewhere. Dreadful programme. Remember we used to be appalled by the Japanese "game" show 'Endurance' and couldn't understand how anyone could be subjected to torture like that. Now some people find it entertaining here.

The poll isn't going the way Tall Paul wanted, is it?

An awful lot of us really like Claudia - a breath of witty fresh air.

Strictly is not BB, it's not TOWIE, it's not any other crappy programme other than itself.

Aha! That makes sense - I've never watched it but from the publicity around it it must be the equivalent of having rusty pins pushed into the eyes ... repeatedly.

Not only hadn't I heard of Ms Willis I was left wondering what on earth a "busted boy band member" was, mentioned in one post. I don't know, and frankly don't care, but I did initially read that as "basted" so the mental pictures it conjured up were quite staggering.

Like you, methinks Tall Paul might have hit a tall wall with his quest.

Emma Willis has taken ova Davina's mantle as the Queen of Television presenters she is in great demand and hugely popular in the real world, she would be ideal for Strictly Come Dancing.

Indeed that may well be true but with Strictly's audience profile, anyone coming into the programme now, 12 years down the road, would almost certainly have to be known to a considerable majority to start with.

By the sounds of things that couldn't possibly be the case for the obscure Ms Willis.

Emma Willis is already known by a considerable majority, "obscure" is not a description therefore that can be used to describe Emma Willis.

Claude is so fantastic on the Great British Sewing Bee, what an eclectic mix of TV watching I do have , that I think she would make an excellent choice. But if not just replace Tess, her sycophantic drivel is so annoying.

Emma is lovely but she'd be too much like Tess for me, Claudia's irreverent sense of humour is one of my favourite parts of the show. Plus Emma already has The Voice and the Big Brother franchise to keep her busy, adding a third RTV show would be overkill.

I'm in the minority - never heard of her. Obviously the progammes she's on are ones that don't appeal to me.

I think the voice has been cancelled so Emma might be looking for something really big to fill that slot, I do like Claudia but in her previous role, obviously bringing Sir Bruce Back would solve everything.

Absolutely neither.

I used to love Claudia but have found her to be terribly irritating of late.
Cannot stand Emma Willis.

Claudia gets my vote - and would have whoever she was paired against. I have no clue who Emma Willis is anyway.

The screechy voice she often uses when presenting Big Brother shows can grate after a few seconds.

I used to wonder how she could have a presenting career with a voice like that, but then I noticed that she doesn't seem to use it when presenting other shows.

You don't seem to be crediting the previous presenter with any common sense. He knows whether or not he felt he was still capable physically/mentally of presenting the show and clearly said how tiring he was finding it week after week.

Anyone who is a genuine fan would respect what he has said - that it was time for him to stop because he wanted to use his energy in doing things he preferred. He doesn't want to be brought back to the main show and is content with the Children in Need and Christmas specials.

So please accept his decision and respect it.

Perhaps if you were to get a new TV you would be in a better position to appreciate Emma's considerable talents.

That isn't a very nice response, and I doubt that getting a different TV would make any difference to the quality of what Patent Pending perceives about her voice. If that's what Patent Pending thinks about her voice, then he/she's entitled to it and shouldn't be told he/she is wrong.

There are certain people you think have "considerable talents". Some agree with you, some disagree, but that's only your opinion. It would be helpful (and might sway some to your way of thinking) if you listed what you maintain are her considerable talents.

We're all entitled to our own opinion on who we think is talented and who we like and dislike. That's all anyone can do in a forum - express their own opinion.

There should have been a neither option for fairness.

I prefer neither.

I must admit like a lot of people I prefer Claudia in her previous role.

It seems a bit biased not to include Sir Bruce just because of the age thing.

Well not when he has voluntarily chosen to retire froma live show which keeps him on his feet and running up and down steps for 6 hours at a time. He wasn't sacked he chose to stop doing the show.

Besides just think what a shadow he would cast over the show if he did a Tommy Cooper. The risk of a 'TV moment' is just to great to contemplate.

Let it go Terry. Let Sir Bruce enjoy his retirement doing a bit of this and that when he feels like it. Surely after all his years in Show Biz he has earned that.
