At least he wasn't name-dropping the Prime Minister this time
(Although the PM was only Gordon Brown, so not that impressive)

To be fair, he might have been Baroning it up in the House Of Lords that day.

Even the likes of Lord Sugar benefit from an injection of £300 per day tax free cash!!!

Still had time to go to his fake boardroom and film that bit though.

Well, that's presumably done a few days later.

Let's imagine his schedule only allowed him one day filming that "week", it was then decided to use that day to film the boardroom parts, which then meant the task itself needed to be filmed the before that without him being present.

I imagine the geezers 'schedule' is pretty light all in all, he has a vast network of employees to handle everything, leaving him plenty of time to be on the telly. But he has to pretend he's busy every hour of every day to show the candidate what 'bizzniss' is really like.

On twitter he always seems to be commenting on the box a la goggle box , or biking around florida

He's clearly worked very hard in the past I'd be interested to know how many hours a week he does these days knowing that he could easily retire if he wanted

I doubt he was really called away. Maybe he didn't fancy a trip to Dover just to shoot the briefing. Going to somewhere in London is less of a fuss.
