MONDAY OCTOBER 5TH
After Alan makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with Jack and the investigation Jack turns his attentions to Marilyn and Myra although it's not going to be easy as Myra managers to constantly talk about herself and the television series recieving poor reviews and her five minutes fame being over before they began. Jack decides it's best to focus on Marilyn although she is focused on the shools anniversary party and spends most of the conversation asking Jack whether Tom would do a reading and whether Jack would do a talk about stranger safety to the new students.
Having heard that Ella and Isaac are planning on doing a robbery after pretending to be asleep whilst she was on the phone Freddie can't help but resist the temptation of one last hurrah and begins repaying Ellas attention and making sure that she knows about his past and his willingness to be involved in criminal activity. Greg sees Ella and Grace at lunch and after what he's heard from Mercedes he knows that nothing good can come of this so he decides to join them - Grace puts on a fantastic display of being a nice person but that smile is wiped right off her face when Freddie joins them. Grace quietly confronts Ella about being married and Ella says that Isaac is in on it as she knows Freddie has just recieved a pay-out from Ziggy.
Greg makes it known to Ziggy that he's seen Freddie with Grace causing Ziggy to kick off with Freddie again and brand him a thug. Freddie tells Ziggy to leave him to it as they're no longer family and he'll be out of his life for good soon.
Amy is still a shadow as baby Sarahs funeral arrives. The quiet ceremony is only attended by Michaela, Myra, Nancy after Chris has told Ste that he is not welcome. Chris says a heartfelt and tearful goodbye to his only child as Nancy perhaps for the first time can truely relate to Chris. Amy declines to say anything and so Myra shares a poem that she read at Tinas funeral and begins a prayer at which point Amy walks out. Chris is too broken to follow her and so Michaela takes the lead. Amy tells Michaela that she is leaving the village - alone.
TUESDAY OCTOBER 6TH
It's Bens first day at Hollyoaks High and he's feeling quietly confident about having a new start although it may not go as smoothly as he'd anticipated as word of his time on the streets has already gotten around the school and he is targetted by bullies who draw pictures of him and throw their left over lunches at him. Kaya puts one bully in their place by picking up the leftovers they have thrown and squashing it into their hair telling them that she doesn't like bullies. Tom apologises for not showing Ben around as he had to walk in whilst everyone was at the hospital and was late.
At the end of school Ben gets picked on once again and ends up throwing a punch at one of the kids leading Harry to get involved though the rage has built up in Ben and he goes for kid punching him repeatedly. Harry pulls him off just before Marilyn comes over and warns Ben that he was allowed to join the school under extenuating circumstances but when Harry and Kaya defend him Marilyn doesn't want to hear it and gives him detention.
John-Paul and Mark head out with some other faculty members and one of the women implies that there is some chemistry between the two of them which they brush off. When Dougie arrives at The Dog Marks face lights up but he soon shrinks back down when he remembers that he can't be seen with Dougie in public. John-Paul covers for him by thanking Dougie for meeting him to give him back the DVD he lent him - Dougie plays along and hands John-Paul a DVD from his bag - it's a fitness DVD and the teachers tease John-Paul about it.
Mark thanks John-Paul for covering for him but John-Paul is quick to remind him that he needs to decide what he's going to do about the situation 'because you're clearly smitten, both of you and it's hard enough seeing him knowing I've slept with you - both - it's even harder seeing that lost puppy look on his face when he can't actually be with you'.
Chris is out for a walk with Nancy as she tries to support him. They come across Dodger who asks how he's doing and commends him for letting Amy have her space which leaves Chris confused. Dodger says he assumed Chris knew and that he dropped Amy off at the airport a little while ago. Realising his mistake Dodger ushers Chris in to the car and they speed to the airport desperate to catch her.
Both of them split up at the airport and as they try to find her but Dodger stops as he sees her staring out of a window. Chris runs around the corner and slows down when he sees her. He slowly approaches her and slides his hand in to hers. She looks him in the eye for the first time since the baby died and asks 'What are we going to do?'. He squeezes her hand tightly telling her he doesn't know but they'll do it together.
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 7TH
Michaela is becoming frustrated with having Leela as a house guest particularly as Ziggy only ever seems to come over to see her. Michaela reguarly flaunts the fact that they're engaged in Leelas face but everytime Leela tries to shut Michaela up she is reminded of the good deed Michaela is doing for her. As the two lock horns over whether or not milk goes in the tea first Leela decides she will be back on the force by the end of the week even if it kills her.
Leela approaches her hold bosses and near enough begs for her job back explaining that she made one tiny mistake and had been a good solid worker for years before that. Her boss tells her that he had actually been considering reaching out to her after considering her dismissal unfair. Leelas luck is finally turning around. Michaela on the other hand is getting frustrated with her job at 'The Loft' as Mercedes, Debbie, Darren and Robbie are almost never there and she's picking up the slack. Robbie comes in to help himself to lunch and Michaela flips out at him and says she's sick of his gangster brother and his mafia having freebie meetings in there.
A confused Robbie sees Freddie, Grace and Trevor drinking and eating in the V.I.P area. Freddie gives him a wink which leads to Robbie kicking him out and telling him to get his act
together.
Ella is settling comfortably into The Daniels house which is a delight to Kaya who is finally getting some attention. Alan feels bad for his daughter and is showering both of them with attention and cooks them breakfast which puts Gregs nose out of joint. Greg confronts Ella about what she's up to as he doesn't believe she is mixing with people like Freddie and Grace for nothing.
At school Kaya and Harry admit to each other that they're bored of being there and wish they had been able to go to Uni this year. They decide to spend the day prank calling Holly and arrive at halls to continue pranks but she is angry at seeing them and tells them to grow up, something that is echoed by Jason leaving both of them upset.
Ella continues to flaunt it in Gregs face that her feet are firmly under the table as she goes on an online spending spree after Alan leaves her with his card. Greg becomes infuriated with her and starts going through her stuff. She tries to stop him and it leads to him knocking her over just as Kaya returns from school. Of course Ella plays the victim.
Phoebe isn't amused that Ben got attention but she promises not to tell Carley if Ben promises to behave. Scared of getting in trouble and letting Phoebe down, Ben ditches school for the day but when he sees one of his homeless friends in town he decides that he needs to get it together and rushes back to the school, approaching Marilyn and apologising for his behaviour.
Ella and Kaya bond - Ella gets in with the family, Greg suspicious / Ben is bullied / Harry and Kaya causing more trouble, Holly not amused / Michaela sick of Leela
THURSDAY OCTOBER 8TH
Holly is starting to question whether or not she's made a mistake and wasn't ready to start University as she is set her first piece of course work and the words just won't enter her mind. Deciding to lock herself away and focus on getting the work out of the way Holly thinks she is alone until she realises that Luke is home. She hears him talking repeatedly and shouting as if he is arguing with someone. Holly sees that his phone is on the side in the kitchen. As the shouting continues it gets to Holly and she knocks on his door to ask him to be quiet. He calmly tells her that he doesn't know what she's talking about.
Dougie and Mark are out on a date and Dougie gushes about how happy he is to have him back telling him that he thought Australia was going to be their goodbye and he'd never see him again. Mark breaks his hand away from Dougie whenone of his colleagues walks by leaving Dougie upset. He tells Mark that he's not going to be a secret and he'd shout it from the roof tops even if he has to go to another Uni. Mark tells him not to be stupid which irks Dougie.
As Dougie returns to halls he's not in a great mood. He is stomping around the kitchen and banging things as Holly tries to study. Holly snaps at him and the two end up arguing initially about house hold things but it ends up coming back to Jason as they get quite personal with each other and Holly ends up accusing Dougie of being a user and a game player.
Kaya dresses herself up as she arranges to meet with Jason she tells him that she's sorry for being silly the previous day and that she just misses Holly. He says to just speak to her instead of acting like a kid. Kaya asks whether that's how he sees her and he tells her it's not. Kaya begins talking about how much she enjoys having Ella around and how much fun Mark is telling Jason that she thinks Dougie will marry him. Jasons responds by kissing her and telling her that he wants to be her boyfriend much to her delight.
Jason and Kaya go back to hers and Ella has a million questions for Jason but it's clear he's not interested in being there which Ella notices however she's taken away by the fact that Greg has returned home. Kaya tells Greg not kick off and points out that Jason is there. Greg asks Ella for a word and he apologises to her teling her that he'll have more faith in her but is he telling the truth?
FRIDAY OCTOBER 9TH
There's tension at halls in the morning as Dougie and Holly blank each other. When Dougie leaves Luke emerges and sits inches away from Holly who is obviously uncomfortable with the interaction. When Holly returns from a lecture she finds Luke in her room and he excuses himself saying 'We're friends. We share'. Holly ushers him out of her room and locks the door.
Mark and Dougie come to the halls and try and act casual but Holly tells them they're wasting their time. Mark tells Dougie he has applied for a job at Hollyoaks High so they no longer have to sneak round. As Mark leaves Holly tells Dougie Mark must really love him. Dougie takes the opportunity to clear the air with Holly over the Jason thing and asks why she's pacing outside of the flat. She says she's just having a weird day and they head inside to geet to know eachother and they get on like a house on fire as he puts her mind at ease about Uni.
Holly tries to bring up Luke but Dougie says he's got a class and leaves, crossing Jason on the way in. Jason immediately calls that soemthing it wrong with Holly but they're interrupted as
Luke walks out of his room and says hello to Dougie but blanks Holly who notices that Luke is wearing Callums t-shirt. Holly goes off at him and her that it's his. She runs to her room to prove it and finds that Callums t-shirt isn't there - Luke calmly walks out of his roomwith the same top in his hand and tells her they must've got mixed up in the wash.
Later Jason goes to see if Holly is okay and she tells him that she's never washed that t-shirt since Callum died.
Carley is livid with Phoebe after discovering from Tom that Ben got detention on his first day at school and Phoebe says that kids to things sometimes. Carley tells Phoebe that Ben can no longer stay with her but Phoebe tells Carley that she's being dramatic. Carley lays in to Phoebe about not knowing her or Bens upbringing but Phoebe shuts her down by reminding Carley that she didn't even know that Ben was on the streets until Phoebe gave him somewhere to live for over a month.
Ella is 'helping' Marilyn organise the charity fundraiser and suggests to her that they'd be able to raise more money by getting a celebrity appearance. Marilyn dismisses it saying she doesn't know any celebrities but Ella highlights that P.E teacher Louis is dating popstar Liberty. Marilyn is left feeling awkward when Louis reveals that they broke up but Ella gets inside his head saying that he should get her involved in the charity and make a grand gesture for her.
