I can't see the public voting for Louisa anyway- they have been ignoring decent female singers for years, it won't change this year. Someone like Bupsi has more chance of getting votes from the housewives and grannies that vote.

Well...it seems that whoever the show is really pushing for to win does win...or at least get really...I mean they pushed Sam Bailey really hard in her season and she won, so...if they push hard enough ...who really knows...

why would they deliberately push so hard for Sam Bailey to win when she's not even marketable? Syco dropped her after a year, that doesn't make sense.

My point is that although she won, it seems unlikely that was the result Syco or the producers were aiming for since Syco wouldn't want someone who they're going to drop after a year to win the show. She probably won because the public warmed to her as opposed to being a producer's favourite.

she won because in a year almost devoid of talent she was the only one who could hold a note

she wasn't my cup of tea , she was very dated and if anything the way the show dressed her and the songs they gave her to sing made her seem even more dated, so i agree i dont see how she was favoured by the show at all

she simply gave solid performances week after week after week whereas everyone else was poor

Yep. I would say Tamera was the chosen one that year but she couldn't keep up her part of the bargain and the plan fell to pieces.
I also think Rough Copy and Luke were the Plan B as both could have been very marketable but the viewing public very rarely goes for anything other than safe and vanilla and so the votes went to Sam Bailey and her 'Now Thats What I Call MOR Power Ballads' week in week in plus the very, very bland and dull little Nicky.

i always thought the "spoonerism" of rough copy was a far better name for them

Whereas Anton is awful to watch, he can really sing - not like Maloney,

Agree, she's pretty poor. Jennifer is by far the best singer in the overs, even if she did make a right dogs dinner of her 6 chairs song.

Kerrie-Anne is streets ahead of the rest of them. Fact.

As the others have said Jeref, that's just your opinion and I respect that. But there are a few in the overs who are superior singers to her. Fact!

I think Syco gave up on Sam Bailey when she immediately became pregnant after winning. I think they may have put more effort in with her otherwise.

Let's face it, she was never going to make an impact. Not like 4th impact.

Simon's idea of who the three worst acts are might be different from yours or mine.

Can people please stop comparing Anton with Christopher Maloney! I absolutely love Anton, his voice and the way he delivers a song; Maloney on the other hand, was always the joke act and come in the end, I couldn't bear him on my TV screen. Do not mention the 2 of them in the same sentence again!

I don't think Anton will be anywhere near as loved by the voters as Christopher Maloney.

He was not loved at all. He was the joke character and got loads of votes in the same way as did Jedward, Wagner, Chico etc etc - it nearly carried him to the final. There is no way Anton is a joke act.

Anton is more a voice type act

You never know. If Anton manages to fly his elderly nan over for the live shows and then sobs on a regular basis, he could win the damn thing
