I can't even believe Max and Bupsi got through to Judges Houses. If I were Simon, I would have not put them through.

Nobody in his category is really BAD but my gut tells me he's going to put through either Jennifer Bupsi Ebru (because he did say he wanted the girls category) or Jennifer Anton Ebru.

He said he wanted the girls category because he believes the likely winner (presumably Louisa) is in the girls category. I don't think he will put through three female contestants in the overs category.

Simon could just sign Louisa whether she wins it or not.

This thread is beginning to make some sense.

Well, while 'the three worst acts' is subjective, I have to hand it to you, I think you sussed Simon's MO in this case.

He could and probably would, but if she wins, it saves him having to half-heartedly 'promote' a winner that he has no interest in for a year before dropping them like a stone.

Simon's choices had to be:

Anton - very, very good singer and to me he is hugely likeable. So he'll get the votes, particularly as people like to root for a guy that's not had the lucky break before and this is his last chance.

Bupsi - she's from my home town, Leeds but more importantly she can put on a good show. Yes she's not as great a singer as Jennifer, she may slip into few Tina Turner moves occasionally, but she's fun. I was torn between Bupsi and Jennifer. When she sings the right song Jennifer is so good but then she goes downhill by choosing tedious songs like at bootcamp. As for her look! She looked great in her first audition but her dress sense and makeup skills have gone downhill since. At least Bupsi has a fantastic figure and has great taste in clothes.

Max - he is a very good singer and if he can loosen up and have fun performing he should do okay. I think the reason that Simon chose him over Jennifer is that he needed diversity in his group. Ebru wasn't good enough so the only choice was Max.

Ebru made a big mistake when she said she could give the girls a run for their money. That's precisely why she's not in the live finals. She might appeal to the same people as Louisa and take some of those votes away from her.

Yes she was a young over and they probably don't want any threat to louisa

as i said earlier in the thread cowell doesn't care who wins , he wants the best TV, even if thats car crash TV, and thus is putting through the contestants that will create the most drama and most talking points

if he wants to sign louisa he will whether she wins or not so why would he care about trying to make things easy for her when its really irrelevant who actually wins

Anton is such a Maloney - he's definitely going to be at the top of the votes for the whole series. Why did he have to get put through? This series is going to be so boring now...the British public and their Over fetish will ensure that happens

A cross between Maloney and Andy the singing binman from the early years.

I can understand why some might like him but to me he is hotel lift/piano bar type music

i still think there will be 4 acts per category, otherwise what will they do with the long 2 hour schedule today!
