Emmerdale - Ross Barton over kill
I'm bored of the character... he is involved in too many high profile plots.

Same.
I get he's popular but they are running him into the ground, they did that with Aaron during his original stint too. |

I like Ross a lot but am inclined to agree, it's very shoehorn-y.

Is the outcome of every storyline is that Ross is the culprit for everything? He was Laurel's car jacker. He was the Dad to Charity's baby. He's now Roberts shooter. Wonder what's their next idea for Ross to be heavily involved in? Roll eyes.

He's a great character, but you're right, this is overkill. He seem's to be getting dragged into all of the major storylines. You would think the writers would know when they are using a character too much.
Being the father of Charity's baby and now this. It really is like they are getting him involved for the sake of it. |

The Donna storyline is the only time he's ever been remotely interesting. The rest of the time his hard man act comes across more like a sulky toddler on the verge of throwing a tantrum. I can't work out whether it's the direction or an actual acting choice
![]() Having him involved in everything just makes it worse. |

They've tried to make him too much like Cain too quickly. Cain was in it years when he went through all his demons.

I'm sorry but he'd still be a suspect in Pete's murder even if Slugden had killed pete so this whole brother killing each others siblings is Judy stupid.
Way to ruin a fantastic character Oates

I agree. As soon as Ross first appeared in tonight's programme, I thought ''he did it!''
Would have been better if a more seemingly good natured person had done it. The fact that he plotted with Andy does make it more interesting though. I wonder what Andy has in store for Pete, or if his little quad bike mishap was more than an accident? |

He is a nasty thug, but he's acted so well and with panache that Parr has imbued him with a character. No mean feat for a nasty, cracked thug character.
Parrs also a very hot looking guy so that might sway me slightly lol (!) |
