Is cooking classed as heating something up?

I cook a meal every day.
Me too, from scratch. Although sometimes I cook something that does for more than one day. In fact I plan it that way. Most Sunday mornings I make a vegetable (based) soup for lunches (it does 3 or 4 days but I don't necessarily have it on consecutive days) and something like a casserole, shepherds pie, lasagne, ratatouille or something that does for more than one dinner.

Thanks for the reminder that soup season is upon us. Little work for a few days meals

Slow cooker is my friend.

I do joints of beef, pork etc for 12 hrs whilst at work then just make up an evening meal with potatoes and veg when I get home. Quick and easy..

Lasts 3 days including meat for sandwiches to take to work.

There are yuppie flats in most cities where the cooker hasn't ever been switched on. They're dining out or maybe having food delivered in. I've eaten out for weeks on end during business trips. After a while I just hankered after something simple like beans on toast or egg and chips, or just toast and a brew.

Most evenings there's a meal cooked from scratch. A couple of times a week there might be something processed included such as fish fingers, fillo pastry or haggis

I cook from scratch as does hubby. I buy ready made things. Takeaways are few and far between, in general we cool from scratch

I've just retired after the last 35 years consisting of convenience junk food.

Bought a slow cooker and a toaster oven - now I have tasty cheap meals.

Takes a bit of time (I have plenty) and involves washing up but it's soooo worth it.

or do you buy one from your supermarket or order it from your local takeaway
Like many here I use all three options (not for the same meal, that would be greedy).

Love cooking food, but its still fun watching a movie and chowing down on a 14 inch kebab meat and onion pizza (yum) from our local takeaway occasionally.

I cook everything I eat, apart from an occasional pizza which I buy for the freezer and eat once in a blue moon. I've had only one take away ( Chinese ) this year, and that was when visiting a relative.

Mostly I cook from scratch during the week when I get home from work, but normally quick things - pasta dishes, stir fries etc. During the weekend I have the luxury of either spending longer cooking my own meals, I enjoy cooking, or I'll eat out. Occasionally we'll order a takeaway in, usually Chinese, but probably only every few months.

I cook most days. If I don't I buy a ready meal from the supermarket or just make a sandwich or something. We never have takeaways.

If you had been eating junk food for 35 years, you don't need to start eating healthier and home made now, as it makes no difference to your body that is already been poisoned from eating junk food all these years.

Combination of all three, though takeaways are few and far between. And another vote for the slow cooker - anything in that involving chopped meat or peppers usually gets a light burning (let's not get carried away with fancy words) which is good for the flavour.

I has cook longtime
Fye dollah though I think you misunderstood the question or there are euphemisms at play here that I need to brush up on

All three although takeaways less so.

Time constraints prevent me from cooking more and cooking for one is not such good fun
