If there's an all female second half of the series, I worry about whether people will enjoy it less. It affects the dynamics and now we are down to just three blokes it seems a bit uninteresting. I think the judges should have booted Jamelia out for balance.

Result...
Ainsley V Jamelia

AINSLEY OUT

PLEASE DO NOT post the result, or allude to it in any way, outside of this thread on DS - it leads to complaints about the spoiler being available in general, & risks the spoiler thread being closed down by forum admin

Not if she was the better dancer...and she is. I agree about the birds outnumbering the guys 8 to 3 isn't ideal, but it says a lot about the non-dancers at the bottom of the leaderboard who have gone.....sadly.
Also.........there were 4 girls in the final a couple of years ago.....it didn't spoil my enjoyment!

Shame about Ainsley. Really liked him and Natalie! This is the first time in SCD that the first 4 eliminees have been of the same gender since Series 3.”

Maybe he had run his course..the main comedy on the show is jeremy.
The 4 who have gone...iwan,anthony,daniel,ainsley...all non-dancers.

Me too. I've just said on another thread that I wasn't really warming to him before tonight but he went out on a real high.

For all my opinion's worth ☺ I thought Ainsley was miles better than Jamelia in the DO - but then the judges always seem to favour a "posh" dance over a light-hearted one

He really did. Loved his last dance with Nats. Such a joyous man.

Ohh I don't know.. I felt Jamelia's dance was much cleaner. Ainsley tried his best bless him.

It's not enough for a dance to be entertaining, and it was that, but it has to be idiomatic, which in Ainsley's case it wasn't. But then jive is difficult even for younger dancers.

Totally agree! I thought Jamelia made loads of mistakes. Ainsley definitely danced better

Missed you all this weekend, so have just seen the show and results on I-Player.
Sorry to see who ended up in the dance- off, it should have been Carol and Jeremy, but all the people who think there should be an even balance between men voted off and women voted off are talking moonshine. The dancers in the last 3 rounds will be the best dancers in the show, never mind their gender.

I'm glad Ainsley's gone. Jamelia was the better dancer of the two. It's about time a female celeb goes though. Maybe Carol or Jamelia next week. Kirsty was much better this week so hopefully not her. I think Peter Andre and Jay will go far so more females will go before them.

Thank you as usual for the result all! Very grateful, even if I did have a silly 'guess' time and missed it again (drat! I WILL get it right one week! ). Will try and find this thread earlier next week!!

Very, very sorry AInsley and Nat have gone. Said it on another thread, but Nat has gone from being a pro I didn't take to in her first year to my favourite of the current gang (and possibly of all of them in the last years!). I adore her. She is lovely, sweet, supportive and makes whoever she dances with look good.

Ainsley made me cry 'yesterday' with his reactions after he was booted out - such a lovely, sweet, joyful man. I shall miss him a lot. Jamelia was cleaner and deserved to stay in. But Ainsley brought the warmth and entertainment that we badly need (not that others don't - I love Kellie and Kevin and Carol is lovely, if a little inept as a dancer; but she's improving!).

It may well be a 'girl' next week. I don't think Jamelia will go far - well, she will, until she gets paired in the bottom two with someone who can dance better. She's obviously just not popular.

The two least interesting and irritating dancers (and the worst)
