Certain idiotic newspaper columnists would whinge once again, if she ended up winning!

Jose Mourinho could only be partnered with Katya. I can imagine their faces when the judges started criticizing them, priceless!
Santiago Cabrera, yummy stuff of the highest order!
Jason Momoa, only if he reprised "that" gif, complete with chair in the Clauditorium.
Who can partner Romesh with?

Well surely it has to be Jon Snow (dancing to Hotline Bling, nach?)

Either him or Alastair Stewart for 'veteran newshound' slot.

[quote=notdebbiedingle;80873167]Haha I was struggling to get to sleep last night due to severe indigestion & started thinking who I'd like to see in Strictly 2016!!
My eventual 'fantasy line up' went something like:-

Michael Owen...ex footballer...and Oti
Phill Jupitus...comedian...amd Jannette
Matt Bellamy...Muse frontman...and Kristina
Paul Martin.... Flog It presenter...and Joanne
David Tennant....actor...and Karen
Stuart Broad....cricketer....and New female (Aliona's replacement)
Reggie Yates...presenter...and Natalie

Victoria Coren Mitchell...presente...and Kevin
Kim Wilde...pop legend & garden expert...and Aljaz
Jenna Coleman...Dr Who star...and Gleb
Laura Tobin...weathergirl....and Giovanni
Myleene Klass...musician & presenter...and Pasha
Hetti Bywater....former Eastenders star...and Tristan
Sally Dynevor...Corrie's Sally Webster...and Brendan
Sharuna Sagar....Newsreader...and Anton

Can't see Phil Jupitus and Victoria Coren Mitchell dancing and Stuart Broad probably couldn't consider it until he retired but Laura Tobin can dance and would be a great pick. The BBC would be also interested in Jenna Coleman.

what happens sometimes is the newspapers/rags start rumours about someone appearing in scd...and it turns out to be someone sort of 'related' to them but not as high profile.
eg....instead of michelle keegan we get mark wright and g-m foote (no disrespect.....not talking about perceived dancing ability, more the natural order of celebs from c to z

so instead of brooke it'll probably be that bird in corrie now who used to be gareth gates' GF... part of the connor 'clan'...

I really don't mind who the contestants are, but I would like a series with no "joke" contestants; I start throwing things at the telly when good dancers go out to the John Sargents of this world.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this - can we please see an end to the outlandish props used to distract the audience from a lack of dancing talent. I hear the "entertainment" argument, but I just don't find plastic horses and the like entertaining.

Of all the names in the thread so far, I think he is the most likely.

Agreed. Mainly because he was in EastEnders, and it is Strictly law that someone from that show must be in the final lineup (except for the 2013 series).

What about Rochelle Hulmes? Maybe her husband Marvin as well?

Not a bad idea.
Rochelle did Children in need special (or other charity one) in which she competed against Harry Judd (must have been 2010) who was dancing the paso with Ola.

Rochelle danced a ballroom number (AS irc)with Ian and she was ok but not great. But could be better.

As a token boyband member, I could see Marvin doing well, though I imagine Ashton wanting to do it more.

As long as they're not sacked they might will be filming (The Xtra Factor for Rochelle; The Voice UK for Marvin) across the autumn. I guess he, at a pinch, could do it though would be pushing it work wise.

They could certainly have done Series 13 without having any effect on their Premier League performances whatsoever.

I think Alison King would be great, I've got a feeling she would be a good dancer and she's super glam 😀
