Wondering whether we'll see someone from one of BBC Three's original series to help promote the online channel and it's shows.

Not really a on my wishlist for a contestant but there are rumours that Newcastle United are likely to sack Steve McClaren, please do not say he will be rumoured if his is sacked.

Agree - but more likely to be Dan Walker.
Would probably be part of his contract. Steph is a ringer, (Irish Dance champion) and would anyone care if "Sports guy" does it. |

I'd put money on one or more of the guests on Len's "holiday" programme, last year it was Ainsley. This time maybe Dion Dublin or Toyah Wilcox. Plenty SCD alumni have also been on it.

Oh god, please anyone but Toyah Wilcox.
I wonder if Michelle Keegan will do it this time? |

*Cough* Chris Hollins...
Mike Bushell could be replaced with a shop mannequin and no-one would notice. Probably one or more of the new Top Gear presenters would be shoved onto the dance floor to "raise their profile" I am hoping for Sabine Scmitz rather than Eddie Jordan |

Tracey Ullman would be great, although she was a dancer as a teenager on stage.
She famously got fired from "The Second Generation" for forgetting to wear underwear during a performance. She could also do her Toyah impression so kills 2 birds with one stone. |

Chris Hollins has a personality - whether you like it or not is another matter.

Probably one or more of the new Top Gear presenters would be shoved onto the dance floor to "raise their profile" I am hoping for Sabine Scmitz rather than Eddie Jordan My point was simply that when CH did it BBC Brekky sports was pretty much his only gig, Bushell is more or less in that same position now. The "personality" or "lack" thereof of either of them (or anyone else for that matter) is of course subjective. BBC Brekky gets a lot of viewers hence it's a big harvesting ground. |

Some great calls here....
I think Dion Dublin is a fantastic shout since he has his footie fanbase and the HUTH one as well. Dublin has a bit of music background as well so should mean he has great rhythm. Rather not see Mike Bushell but I think another Breakfast name is very likely. Sally Nugent or Steph McGovern (even if she is a ringer) would be good but I think Dan Walker is more likely, if not this year he'll be rumoured for2017 since he's now the main male presenter on Breakfast. I was a little surprised the beeb didn't have a Waterloo Road cast member last year with it being the last year of the show so maybe this year. Or someone from Holby/Casualty or the other continuing dramas (guessing Helen filled that role last year). Furthermore, I reckon Jo Coburn (Daily Politics presenter) could be a perfect Anton partner for next year. |

For beauty, charm, and the obvious style and bearing of a dancer, Lucy Verasamy the ITV weather presenter. Why she was not on last year I can't understand - I am sure that she would have done 50 times better than Carol Kirkwood who for me was more of a joke contestant.
As for her not being sufficiently high profile, how much higher profile can a meteorologist get than being on the ITV 6 o'clock news most nights? Also Katherine Kelly, the best actress ever on Coronation Street. See her in my favourite episode which I put on YouTube in two parts: "The Adoption Interview". She is presently in Mr Selfridge, in a part which is at the opposite end of the social scale from Becky MacDonald. |

Forgot to mention yesterday that I may well skip watching this year if Steve McClaren is a contestant after his sacking by Newcastle do feel sorry for him due to the way the club drawn it out though until they secured the services of Rafa. I just do not think that Steve McClaren is a good fit for Strictly.

How about Joe McFadden? He did a 'do the strictly' with some of the holby city cast. He seems to be up for a laugh. Micheal Jamieson the Olympic swimmer. I know that swimmers and strictly don't mix but he seems quite determined so he may try his hardest.

Would like to see Mel c do it. As it is a Olympic year I doubt we will get any current athletes. As another poster has already mentioned Joe Mcfadden. Would also love to see Rownan Atkinson do it.

I would rather see Corrie's Ryan Thomas, who is soon to leave the show; he might be at a loose end
