How about these to kick off?

Christina Trevanion - Bargain Hunt. Although she is one of the experts, it was her turn to present the programme today and she did a fabulous job and seems to be a natural talking to camera. She is an extremely attractive slim girl who would look great in the dresses and endear herself to the viewers with her looks and her posh accent. She would be a true beginner too.

Scarlett Moffat - Gogglebox. Full of personality and expression with a funny take on any subject, Scarlett would be great fun on Strictly. She's a Geordie and would be the first since Jill Halfpenny all those years ago.

David Tennent - award winning actor. Well known for being up for a laugh and not taking himself too seriously he is also very popular with the ladies. This would be a big challenge for him and he would throw himself into it. He would use his acting skills to bring expression to the dances and have fun.

Paddy McGuiness - he would be hilarious and he's a mover from seeing some of the things he does on Take Me Out.

Tameka Empson - post her Sport Relief rhytmic gymnastics performance.
She'll be great and looks like a fun person.

He wouldn't be allowed - he was a junior champion ballroom dancer!

Laura Main. She was really good on CIN Strictly last year and I've read an interview where she says she'd love to take part in the main show though doesn't think she'll be asked!

Tomasz Schafernacker

Ore Oduba or Will Perry (BBC News sports presenters)

And more potential male contenders, in general.

I know this but Natalie Gumede was also trained in ballroom and Latin and had it on her CV she could still do it, No difference for Ray IMO

Big difference between "trained in ballroom and latin .. " and being a junior champion though. Ray Quinn is very talented for sure (came second in X Factor as well as winning DOI) but I do think if he did the show he would be far the best dancer, it would be apparent from Week 1 which would spoil the show for some of us.

I would like to see Frank Lampard, I was going to say and his wife Christine Beakley, then remembered she has already been a contestant. But let's still have Frank.

I did watch him on DOI and X factor and I agree he is talented and IMO he was the best DOI celeb they'd had over the years, Like I say I don't see him doing it but its who id like to see, I can keep dreaming I suppose

Just been watching the cricket and my mom thinks Kevin Pietersen might do Strictly could be a possibility for Natalie as he looks tall, he was doing an interview as well as commentary in the studio.

I noticed Sophie Hitchon was on Question of Sport.

https://twitter.com/SophieHitchon/st...08857240035329

Maybe the BBC have her in mind for Strictly?

Sophie is a small, athletic Hammer Thrower, and her background in Ballet may help her technique.

Junior World Champion in 2010, Sophie finished 4th in the 2015 World Championships.

The 2016 Olympic Hammer Final is on 15th of August, so there may just be a possibility she could do Strictly.

Ha, ha! I'd love Hiddleston but he's not going to do it as he's A-lister and will probably go stellar this year. Good luck to him and more's the loss to SCD.

Kevin may be tempted but I think he won't enjoy being taught by anyone, to put it mildly he is a very focused person. Perhaps he would do it if they invited his wife Jessica Taylor onto the show also, she was a member of Liberty X and a contestant on Dancing on Ice, where she did very well.

If Craig gets her annoyed she could pick him up and hurl him across the room. Now that I would pay a lot to see!

She's in BBC1's Happy Valley at the moment too,
and The Night Manager. (That was about Katherine Kelly. She and Lucy Verasamy are my favourites for this year.)
