That will be because the F1 season continues into November. Never going to get a current driver on the show and a lot of retired drivers still work for the teams in different capacities so are at races most weekends.
Susie Wolff, female F1 test driver, has just retried and was on BBC breakfast yesterday indicating she has lots of potential ideas for future projects

I am surprised there has not been any one from Atomic Kitten that has done the show yet.
I would prefer Liz McLarnon out of the available options...

Considering it seems as channel 5 is more popular than channel 4 these days, I think a few channel 5 employees would be good for SCD particularly emma crosby and sian Welby.
I would add the Gadget Show presenters to that list

Here's an idea

Why not just enjoy this series and fret about next year when next year comes?
Am enjoying this year, but don't see any harm in a bit of name dropping that the producers might just pick up on, so long as the names are realistic. Plus it gives plenty of time for approaches to be made and diaries cleared. Be interesting to trawl back and see if any names from equivalent threads last year made the cast

2016 is an Olympic year so expect at least one person retiring after the next games.

Jess Ennis-Hill immediately springs to mind

Lindsay Armaou (from B*witched, in case you wondered) remains my dream contestant!

I'd love to have someone from Neighbours on the show, preferably somebody fairly recent - and I'd also like to see another wildlife presenter after Steve Backshall last year, Micheala Strachan perhaps?
Yes, a very good choice. She still looks stunning (only 1 or 2 years older then me).

Personally, I hope that Liz Bonnin does the show in the future (there is an old clip out there, with her and Anita Rani doing a little dance).

Realistic choices or women people with dance experience or ability who are reported to have indicated an interest in Strictly would be Yvette Cooper and Liz Kendall (two Labour MPs)

Debra Stephenson (Impressionist/Actress) danced well on Sport Relief and is interested, as is Lindsay Armaou (Singer, B*Witched)

Rebecca Adlington (Retired Swimmer) wants to do the show as does Jessica Ennis, who may have retired by autumn next year

ITV Weather reporter Laura Tobin can dance and BBC weather Sarah Keith-Lucas looked as though she's got some moves doing the Strictly. Kirsty Wark likes to dance and could be good but has turned it down in the past as being too populist

For the men Dr Christian Jessen wants to participate, as does Grayson Perry, who would dance as a man. Other men showing interest are Gok Wan (Fashionista), Joe McElderry (XFactor singer), Robbie Williams (Singer) and Stefan Dennis (Actor)

Anyway, you can't go better then some hotties with mixed blood:

- Myleene Klass
- Liz Bonnin
- Lindsay Armaou

I'm really pleased and surprised by how much love for Lindsay there is on here - come on producers make it happen!! I wonder who she could dance with; I suppose the obvious/lazy choice would be Tristan, due to the Irish connection. I'd take that.

Charlotte Coleman, formally Charlotte Jackson before she got married to Chris Coleman. I enjoyed watching her on Splash.

Whilst I would love to see Susie take part, I would guess that she would still travel with Toto to most races. Although it's possible she may feel that she could miss half a dozen races at the end of the season...

This is not my personal wish list, but just watching Sunday Brunch and Dick and Dom said they would love to do Strictly (they were asked to do series 1 but said no because they thought it would never work). They asked Claire Goose as well and she looked like she would consider it, but she had never been asked. Heston Blumenthal said he had been asked several times but wouldn't do it.

I know Dick and Dom aren't massive stars, but they're at least as well known as Anthony Ogogo so I'm not sure why they struggled so much to get men to sign up this series. They seem to ask some people repeatedly and not bother to ask others at all.

I wouldn't be surprised to see somebody from the upcoming Children in Need special take part. Jenny Agutter was made for the 'older woman does classy ballroom and less-so-classy Latin' role, after all.

They'd be very good entertainment value indeed, seems to me BBC love ignoring anything related to C5 as they don't think they'll bring in the ratings. To me that's cynicism really.

A couple of weeks ago the actor Dean Andrews was tweeting about how good Strictly was and I asked him if he'd do it he replied "One day hopefully "

Anthony Joshua, Laura Trott for the token olympians next year

Token EastEnders star, Laurie Brett? She's had a busy year with storylines. It's good to get the more known characters on the show I think. I think she could be like an Anita Rani surprise.
