Ore Oduba

Jermaine Jenas

Greg Rutherford

(More than two potential male contenders would do nicely.)

Well it's over... we can start speculating, right (I joke...)

Tameka Empson looked well up for it on Friday's ITT. I've been extra good all year so please, please, please can we bag her for next year.

Dan Walker looks like the fave to replace Bill Turnbull and, again, he really seemed to enjoy the show when on ITT. He'd be ace with Nat.

Suzi Perry is out of a job now that the F1 is defecting. I think she and Pasha would be dynamite.

It's an Olympic year so we'll have some of our GOLD MEDAL HEROZ in the mix. Poss Greg Rutherford and Christine Ohuruogu.

I'm guessing TayTay Starhz won't be on the invite list (unless he gets paired with Zoe)

I would love it if Reggie Yates did the show, but I don't think that he would do it.

Kylie Minogue is tiny -- she's only about 5ft, maybe an inch more. In the unlikely event that she ever did Strictly, I would imagine she'd be paired with one of the shorter male pros.

Lesley Joseph does panto every year. Between rehearsals before the panto opens and then performances afterwards, I doubt she'd be able to do Strictly at the same time.

Doesn't stop Janette dancing with Aljaz, though that is only because the producers decided that as they are a couple off the dancefloor they had to be a couple on it as well - they never used to dance together.

Kylie would definitely need a shorter pro though, and it would more than likely be Kevin...

I don't have a wishlist of contestants for next year, but an entirely new judging panel and no Anton or Gleb would be nice.

Hmm two took part in 2012 - Victoria Pendleton and Louis Smith. So maybe someone like Bradley Wiggins alongside Christine Ohuruogu?

My 2015 topic got over 100 pages, wonder if this will do similar numbers.

I reckon we'll see a number of retired olympians, perhaps Tom Daley. I suspect 2016 will be his final shot at a gold medal.

Tennant won't ever do it. He's a serious actor dahling and still dreams of cracking the States. But if Strictly is still going two decades from now (unlikely but you never know, soaps and casualty still going) then his place as a silver fox is assured. That, and Whovian conventions will guarantee a pension.
For me, I think he'd never do it because of the intense interest in celebs' personal lives that comes with doing Strictly. The man is very private about his personal life, and it wasn't until (relatively, compared to how long he's been a husband and father) that he'd even mention his family in interviews. He would absolutely refuse, due to all the tabloid attention.

Also, I'm not sure he's as much of a serious actor as you might think. He's mentioned before that he's done some of his acting work merely because he thought it would be fun.

As much as I'd love it (he's a nice fellow and as far as I've seen, not a very good dancer, but could possibly be a good student), it just won't ever happen. Not for a long time, as you said.

Now that Carol has set a precedence I think Tomasz Schafernaker should do it.

Partly for my own amusement at Tess saying his name!

Tim Lovejoy or Simon Rimmer ( 'Something For The Weekend' presenters ) - Simon particularly looks like he might be quite a mover.

Ian Wright ( ex footballer )

Rob James-Collier ( Corrie and Downton )

Melinda Messenger - I've always wanted her to do it. Delightful lady, and I think she'd be good.
