Richard Osman (but I think they may go for Alexander Armstrong instead, they won't have both of them)

Greg Rutherford

Nicola Roberts or Sarah Harding

Louise Rednkapp

Tameka Empsom

Gareth Thomas (amazed he's not been on it already)

Honor Blackman

Jayne Torvill (would be the biggest ringer ever to appear on the show, but I love her)

Emma Willis

We have to have a YouTuber eventually, and Zoe Sugg (Zoella) is probably the most well known outside of her own fanbase; that said, Dan Howell (danisnotonfire) hosted a BBC Radio show, so has BBC connections already.

If Zoe, pair her with Giovanni. If Dan, either Natalie or Oti.

I'd like Richard and Alexander too but Richard seemed quite categorical when he was on ITT that he wouldn't ever participate. Think Alexander might be quite nifty and if he's tall then Natalie could have another crack at the title. I'm not keen on Sarah Harding so Nicola Roberts if we need another GA. Honor Blackman would be interesting as would Torvill and Dean.

Did you see Mel practising rumba walks on Jonathan Ross?

I hope if she does ever do it she doesn't get forced into the 'comedy contestant' role like Jeremy did.

MY dreams are only on my head. What about the rotters? Nic lindhurst, with his gangly legs, maybe some old school pop stars.

BBC, spread the net a bit wider, go perhaps for internet personalities like Damien Walters or the Harrison twins.
I'd also like to see an initial section where the celebs previous dance experience is revealed, in order to clear the air.

Can you imagine if Jayne Torvill were to do Strictly and be paired with Anton? He could leave most of the choreography to Jayne! Torvill & Dean's Paso Doble and Rumba from their competitive days are pretty much the definitive versions of those dances on ice, for example.

Oldish geezer - Ian Ogilvy
Young lass whose singing career has gone off boil - Eliza Doolittle
Presenter - gotta be Ore Oduba and/or Suzie Perry. Frankie Bridge was showing Ore ballroom posture in the lottery show the other night....and he did Hey Ya on Dance for Comic Relief

What about Jeremy Corbyn - with all the votes he would get from Labour Party members he is guaranteed to win it. Well let's face it he has more chance of success than he has at a General Election

After seeing some nifty footwork and "gorgeous arms" from her on The Sound of Music Live, Katherine Kelly please.

Re Honor Blackman, I've been touting her as a potential "mature" female contestant for years.

I think that, at the age of 90, Honor is a little too old for Strictly!

I simply adore Twiggy and I think I'd like to see her do Strictly - however - I couldn't bear it if she were awful and got scathing criticism. I don't like to see my 'idols' knocked off their pedestals.

She as doing a poem about her nature experiences at a kid's festival I went to with my daughter and seemed a genuinely nice woman and this is from someone who remembers 'The Hitman and Her' and not in a happy nostalgic way. So I guess what I'm saying is if she wants to do it - a big yes to Michaela doing it.

Don't we all dharling?

I always had a bit of a thing for him - although after reading Andree Agassi's autobiography - I'm not so sure.

Agassi would be good.

A purely tennis Strictly would be my dream - I could die happy after seeing Goran Ivanisevic strutting his strictly stuff.

I would love to see that!

Also, I would love to see him do well in the next General Election, and Strictly would probably be an excellent way to achieve that. Well, Have I Got News For You worked for Boris!

More likely to appear on the US version, if ever.

(Mind you, i still think that Martina Hingis should not have got the boot first when she did the UK Strictly)

You should take to the stage, and/or become a medium.

I have no idea who these Youtube "stars" are.

But then some posters claim ignorance whenever soap cast members or pop singers sign up.

I reckon a Rio Olympic medalist or two may feature in the next series. And a current or former EastEnders cast member; a Strictly tradition (bar 2013).

I would like to see the following on SCD in the future:

(Judge) Robert Rinder
Anne Hegarty, Sean Wallace or Paul Sinna (The Chase)
Nina Ridge (BBC Weather presenter)
Silvana Rowe or Lorraine Pascale (chefs)
Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey)
Lee Mead (Casualty)

bib: He would be as much of a ringer as his ex-wife.

I would prefer David Ames, the guy who plays Dr Dominic in Holby City

How about Luke Pasqualino aka d'Artagnan from The Musketeers/Freddie from Skins.

Or any of the cast from The Musketeers
