I know this isn't exclusively food but I buy M and S food every week whereas clothes will be once in a blue moon. Anyway, what do you think? Are you anti loyalty cards in general or do you wonder what's taken them so long? Personally I'm past worrying about our shopping habits being monitored and , although I didn't get much yesterday, it immediately saved me about £2.50 and gave a few pennies to charity so I'll go with it and see how it works out.

I got mine last week. I will certainly be using it - I sometimes do a food shop at M&S and I buy some of my clothes from them, especially underwear. I haven't got any issue with loyalty cards at all. I don't give a hoot who knows that I like M&S crisps and what size my bra is.

I got my Sparks card about two weeks back in the post think was one of the trial customers before launch. Seems to be brilliant idea to be honest the 10% off came in handy at the weekend there. wish more stores offered cards with instant discounts for loyal customers.

My dad got his in the post a few weeks ago. He's almost 80 yrs old and hasn't been in an M&S store for several years, but I buy online for him occasionally. The leaflet it came with just didn't make it appealing whatsoever, so I binned it. Now I'm wishing I'd kept it. I can't be bummed traipsing 2 miles in a bus to the nearest store.

I wonder what the criteria are for being sent one in the post, as I never got one, and neither did another family member. Perhaps they thought one per household was enough?

They need a facility to request one online.
