Can I get a notification about updates to reappear?

Moto G running Android 5.

Yesterday, when I turned on my mobile (i.e. brought it out of standby), there was a notification that there were updates available for 9 apps. Since I was on the bus at the time, I should have just left the notification there. However, without thinking about it, I swiped it so that it disappeared.

I assumed it would reappear later, the next time I turned it on, but it hasn't. Nor will it come back if I power the device off and on.

Is there any way to recover the notification, or would I get a reminder if I opened any of the apps?

If you open "my apps" part of the Play Store they should be queued and waiting to download.

Thanks d123, but it looks as though it doesn't work that way with the Moto.

First I tried on my laptop; I can into Play Store/My Apps, but I couldn't find any options about updates.

Going to the Play Store app on my phone, I'm told that it needs to be set to "accept background data", whatever that actually means. However, I don't have the options under Settings/Data Usage that the help page says I need. In any event, going into Settings/Apps/Play Store shows that background data is enabled.

Problem solved somehow. After checking the settings again, I went into Play Store again, and again was told that I needed to enable background data.

Closing this, I did a reboot, and tried again. No problems, and I was able to go into My Apps. This listed 10 apps waiting to be updated. I've now run this.

Glad you got sorted, I was actually checking it on a Moto 4G when I posted

Thanks - it's amazing how often switching a thing off and on works.

When I worked at Reynholm Industries a guy in the IT gave me that as a pro tip.
