HTC One touchscreen going opaque.
Does anyone have experience of their touchscreen going opaque? It is like you are looking at the screen through lace curtains....Very bizarre.
It does it intermittently and if you turn it of then on it is corrected. Trouble is it is doing it more and more and is obviously only heading one way. Any ideas? |

This sounds like what I had a few months ago on my M7. It started after I installed a Snapdragon™ BatteryGuru app, so I assumed it was related to that, or possibly condensation. It was still doing it after I uninstalled it but fearing that the app had caused the fault, I did a factory reset (wiping the entire phone). I did it again for a few second during the set-up, but it hasn't happened again since - and that was a few months ago. Not sure if it was condensation inside or the reset that fixed it.

Thanks Kenny.
I am a bit of a luddite, even to the point where I don't really know how to back up, so I am loathed to send it back to HTC. under their 2yr warranty (which is 4 weeks from running out so I'd better get my finger out ) as I imagine they are likely to wipe it and install factory settings. I wouldn't even know if I have snapdragon.😳 Glad to know it has happened before to someone(sorry it was you) Every forum I have checked out nobody seemed to have experienced it, and as usual I can't get the DS search function to work. |
