Strictly...is there nothing that the BBC will do to make sure that he gets the best coverage.

Also convenient that he has brought his album out at just the right time.

What about being on Friday would mean he had the best coverage?

Lots of celebs do strictly to get coverage for something new they're releasing, or to just generally raise their profile. Pixie had recently released (or was going to release) and album last year, Susanna used the exposure to get a high paying ITV contract the year before. I think Sophie Ellis Bextor released an album while she was on strictly or just after, Kimberley Walsh released it one a couple of months after her stint on strictly.

Peter's not some evil Machiavellian genius, rubbing his hands together while coming up with ways to defile the good name of strictly for his own ends - he's just doing what lots of other celebs do.... and I'm not a Peter fan btw, I just don't really care one way or the other for him.

Didn't Ricky Whittle tend to be a Friday interviewee because of his day job not being around London?

It seems that Peter gets the last slots or near to the last slots on both shows...by the time the first lot have been on you have forgotten them.

I think trying to apply the pimp slot principal to what day of the week someone appears on the spin-off shows is a conspiracy step too far for me, sorry, I'm out.

How many times has he been on on Friday?

i understand minding this kind of thing, I really do, but in this case I think the Friday ITT is such a dog's dinner nightmare that I don't think it's an advantage. I don't know about other people but I've yet to last the full hour, and I love ITT. Helen also seems to be always on a Friday - I think it's to do with when people are available, some people can only be there on the Friday when they are rehearsing. Complain all you like about his easy judging and I'll agree with you, but in this case I really don't think the Friday ITT is a plus.

I think he has been on most Fridays...like he is always near the end to dance on the main show.

I have nothing against Peter he seems like a nice guy ...witty and charming...but I wish they would shake up the order of the celebrities ...especially on Saturday nights.

Have to agree with Fridays ITT...did not quite make it to the end last week.

You beat me to it jnorth - I wanted to say that Helen was on Friday for the first two weeks and nobody, but me, made mention of it. I was told, as above, that it all comes down to the pair's availability. That being the case, why the uproar and this entire thread with Peter?

That said, an unfair bias DOES exist re Peter and the main show. That much is obvious.

I said it a few weeks ago that his treatment on this show reminds me of Susanna Reid; and with every week, I keep being proven right.

I believe that Peter has appeared twice on Friday and twice on Wednesday on ITT.

I don't think it makes any difference - you vote for who you want regardless of the order they appear. Of course they're going to save some of the better dancers until last - to keep the viewers tuned in waiting, and to end Saturday's show on a high.

Even more baffling as to why they keep choosing Peter then!

Why would the BBC want Peter to win anyway? Surely if they wanted someone to win it would be one of their own like Carol or Anita.

They might think he's a viewer getter. It does look a little suspect how nice of a draw he keeps getting.

You are spoiling a conspiracy theory with facts . Shame on you .

Nail. On. Head .
The BBC have no reason to promote him or any other celeb above one of their own home grown celebs . Quite the opposite .

I would say, if anyone's being favoured in their ITT slots, it's Helen. I assume it's because of her filming for Call The Midwife and would be shocked to hear otherwise, but even so, the fact she's been on the Friday show every week so far (including tonight!) would make me more suspicious of her being 'favoured' by the producers than Peter.

If she's away for the rest of the week though that's more understandable. Wasn't it Mark Ramprakash who would only do Friday's.. or Thursday's? I'm not sure which day it was but I know he always insisted on it .. almost like a superstition.

Does it even matter with ITT? Should we remember them? Sometimes I'd rather forget some things, Biggins for example.

Frankly, the more coverage he gets, the more off-putting and dislikeable he becomes so can't go along with your conspiracy theory on that count.

As for his album, competitors have always used Strictly to cross-promote so nothing strange there.
