Even more baffling as to why they keep choosing Peter then!

I think trying to apply the pimp slot principal to what day of the week someone appears on the spin-off shows is a conspiracy step too far for me, sorry, I'm out.
Completely agree. In fact I would say Itt on Friday is a weak slot.

Why would the BBC want Peter to win anyway? Surely if they wanted someone to win it would be one of their own like Carol or Anita.
Both are getting help in running order and pros.

Frankly, the more coverage he gets, the more off-putting and dislikeable he becomes so can't go along with your conspiracy theory on that count.

As for his album, competitors have always used Strictly to cross-promote so nothing strange there.
Completely agree. I think the Strictly producers really don't care much other than having a good program, I think helping their own stars is more a bit is more of well, let's not hindrance them rather than being unfair towards others.

Does anyone know what shade of hair dye Peter Andre uses?

Strictly...is there nothing that the BBC will do to make sure that he gets the best coverage.
the best possible coverage Pete could have is on top of Katie Price's prostrate body, so I don't have to see its tango'd horribleness again

As has Peter who was on the Biggins buggy & on the stupid foot psychic thing yesterday.

But I'm with Monkseal unusually, think Friday is more about who works outside London during week than about pimpslot. Now if he's in last half of show tomorrow I shall have a little to say.

I would say, if anyone's being favoured in their ITT slots, it's Helen. I assume it's because of her filming for Call The Midwife and would be shocked to hear otherwise, but even so, the fact she's been on the Friday show every week so far (including tonight!) would make me more suspicious of her being 'favoured' by the producers than Peter.
Not really surprising, I remember last year that Sunetra was almost always there each Friday (due to the filming of Casualty).

I'm with you on that. A conspiracy theory too far.

Well I don't know about everyone else but I vote for the contestants whose dance I have enjoyed and not because of what day they appeared on ITT!!

It's all about "nudging". Of course if you are a big fan of one particular contestant you will vote for them regardless of when they dance in the programme and however often they turn up on ITT.

But many people who vote are not fanatics who post on forums like this. They are much less clear-cut about who they like best, and they CAN be swayed by things like having seen a particular contestant the night before on ITT or by them being in the last few in the running order on Saturday.

It's modern psychology - you can shape people's behaviour in subtle ways, the government does it, retailers do it - and the BBC does it for sure.

I don't think someone appearing regularly on ITT on a particular day would have that much of an impact, as I imagine the viewing figures aren't that high compared to the main show.

What is more insidious is the constant over the top praise of some contestants by the judges, with minimal criticism, leading some viewers to the idea that this must be a great dancer.

The bile towards Peter on here is quite nauseating!

Exactly this, he's a good dancer, but not as good as he''s being made out to be, I don't see any improvement so far, and he's a bit dull, I kinda have him down for a shock Dance off elimination about Blackpool time

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if he was in the dance off this week.

I thought he was one of the weakest tonight.

Nonsense (as regards Strictly) . That might apply on XF where a heck of a lot of the voters are kids , but Strictly viewers are mostly adults , not teenagers being herded like sheep. On strictly you either like the dance/celeb or don't and will vote accordingly . It's not rocket science .

I agree . It's not even dance related , just tacky and irrelevant nonsense .
He danced ok tonight , but just ok . He knows it too and accepted the comments with good grace . He needs to up his game now because I think the ones hovering around the middle of the leader board tend to get picked off .

I did too. I just hope its not him and Jamelia. The judges will choose Peter and that would be a shame because I like Jamelia.
