Anyone else disappointed in HO 20th anniversary?
Props to the actors, directors and camera guys. Magnificent this week.
But the writers, really? Anyone else disappointed in the week's events? Not just with it compared to the other anniversaries with this being weaker. But for it being the 20th anniversary! I just felt enough wasn't done? GHK reveal was a disappointment. Too obvious and was hoping it would turn out to not be a suspect (with how much they where making it out to be as good as the Bobby Beale story-line and it being ''shocking'' and you ''won't see it coming'' And the reveal about Freddie actually being alive. Ugh, |

Got to be honest I loved it and far more entertaining than so many of the other soaps. I mean watch corrie and its so mundane by comparison half the characters there talk about what books they are getting from the library or how many coffees fail has had

The stunt was amazing and really did think all three Roscoe's would die. I still am unsure how realistic it was that they were saved. Firstly, Jason could barley reach the ladder yet he suddenly did and managed to drag Freddie out with him. Then, we see them in the middle of nowhere yet they are saved.
GHK- Oh well. It does not add anything. It was obvious baring in mind the storylines all the other characters have ongoing storylines such as Celine being in court next year for Pete's storyline. Tony- It was important that he had a storyline on the Friday episode, the anniversary and it was good and light. But, I would have rathered a whole episode dedicated to the wedding with more returnees and the chance for older viewers to watch one off. For example, using the old titles, using exterior shots like the first episode and referencing the past rather then a throwaway line from Tony on the wall. Trevor- As previously said by everyone- he has been arrested more times this month then there have been scenes in the hospital. To make the anniversary better- I celebrated it here: https://johnnyseifertradio.wordpress...lyoaks20years/ |

Bobby being the murderer was a bit sillier. Lyndsey being the GHK makes more sense. I don't care for Freddie being dead or alive either way. I don't like how Trevor and Grace can't just be a normal couple though

Doesn't come close to EE's anniversary week in Feb even if you exclude if you found the killer silly, the rest of the drama was ace!!! This is a bit of a lacklustre week. Feel like more could have been done.

I love how Jason was fine despite him having diabetes and being trapped in a water tank overnight.

Compared to recent years yes, the water stunt good just compared to the bus crash or the train it felt a bit meh.

I have enjoyed this week. It has actually gripped me which the show hasn't done for a while but it's been far too light on nostalgia for my liking.

It was a pretty ordinary HO week- because it is always 'dramatic' nothing can really shock any more. GHK should have been a big reveal but seeing as two murderers are still in the village they'll shrug this off as well. Might have worked better with some scarier late night episodes I think.

This is the first time in ages I've loved Hollyoaks! This week really has been good, I'm glad the killer has been Lindsey as it made the most sense and was still pretty dramatic whilst being predictable as most had guessed. The OTT-ness suits special weeks like this but there's been other nice things happening like Diane and Tony getting back together and Tegan getting Rose back.
