Anyone else massively disappointed by the reveal that Ross shot Robert, it was a silly twist done just for the sake of it. It's regressed Andy back to being a villain again and it's shoved Ross to the forefront of the show once again. He is continuously shoehorned into every storyline, e.g. affair with debbie, father of moses, and now this. I used to like him before this year as he had depth and was complex, he was brilliant with Donna, but they've just ruined him by turning him into an unlikeable thug who cares for no one but himself recently. Also Michael Parr isn't even that good an actor like everyone makes out, there are much better actors on the show e.g John Middleton (Ashley), Jeff Hordley (Cain) and Danny Miller (Aaron). Sorry rant over...

I think they did over hype the twist a bit, I wasn't disappointed as I had my money on Ross as the shooter from day one, twist involving Andy is interesting, but like you said him killing Pete seems extremely out of character. I'd put Micheal Parr as one of the shows top actors but Ross is being over used, next he'll be breaking Aaron out jail, discovering the true paternity of Vanessa's baby and finding a cure for Ashley's dementia.

While I enjoyed the show last night, I can see your points especially about Dross.

I wouldn't say I was massively disappointed, it's only a soap after all. It was just a bit silly and not that interesting.

They built it up too much. There's plenty of ordinary episodes of ED I've enjoyed a hell of a lot more than that. In fact the 7pm epi with Robert waking up was much better.

Damp squib is definitely the right description.

eta: and you're right about Ross. I just don't care for him any more, so this was a thumbs-down from me.

The Ross and Andy twist was interesting. But other than that there was no reason to make this storyline about Ross

It was in the middle for me not so obvious like Andy Chrissie or Lachlan and a few others it was obvious as soon as he appeared in a scene with Andy though, I had Paddy from the start I would rather it was a nice character who did it.

I fully enjoyed the episode, the only true shock would be Andy and he faked the alibi somehow.

I hate the Ashley/Paddy storylines. I also hate that Ross is involved in yet another storyline.
But I am glad that everyone is being reminded of what Andy is really like. He has done a lot of bad things, yet we were supposed to forget it all? Nope.
