Netflix Problem
Anyone else having problems with Netflix?
I'm getting 'error playing this content' messages every few minutes & having to go out of Netflix & then back into the show I'm watching and resume playing. It's been this way for a week now. I'm using Netflix on Apple TV & in conjunction with Unblock US & currently turned to Netflix US. I've tried restarting my Apple TV, but it made no difference. Edited to add that I'm 13 mins into a 43 min programme & this is the 5th time it's errored and I've had to go all the way out of Netflix & then back in to resume playing. |

It's usually a Unblock problem, try updating the region selector a few times. That said I had a very slow Netflix yesterday kept wanting to buffer every few minutes.

Using the device your watching from go to the browser log in to unblock us ,it might have a message saying " looks like you have changed up address " click on it to update .

I do have to reactivate it frequently as my IP address changes a lot.
I currently have my Apple TV plugged in to my router via a long Ethernet cable trailed across the floors which obviously isn't ideal but I think the issue is that my BT infinity is in the hall and my tv is in the living room (obviously) and I was using the bt wireless adapters to connect via wifi. Obviously there's a problem somewhere with those dropping the signal just long enough for my Apple TV to detect the loss but not for my iPad or iPhone to pick up the lost signal. Since I've had the Ethernet cable trailed through the house & into my Apple TV I haven't had one error message! Time to invest in around 100 feet of Ethernet cable & some cable clips I think! |

You'll find your IP address will change unless it's static, mine (I'm with sky) changes maybe every 6 weeks or so.

![]() I've sorted it now thankfully. Interestingly I was advised by the UnblockUS team to make sure my iPad was set up with their dns settings. It was but it then messed my Apple TV settings up & right in the middle of watching a tv series on us Netflix, it crashed & defaulted back to Netflix uk refusing to change the region. I had to re-set up my Apple TV to get it to work again as everything had just defaulted back to uk in the middle of watching the us series. The Ethernet method has just made it all so much more stable and it's definitely the way forward it seems. At one point it took me 90 mins to watch a 43 min episode as Netflix crashed nearly 20 times during the one episode due to these minute drops in signal that only my Apple TV picked up! |

I've only got my Fire TV set up with unblocks DNS, didn't bother with the ipad, I saw no reason. I just change the regions thru unblock website on my ipad and away to go.
Funny but last night I had to update unblock as it had lost my IP address, it was probably sky testing my line speed for Fibre Broadband. |
