How did Ross know about the gun? And how did he obtain it?

This seems like a massive detail which has been overlooked by the writers. Was this shown or explained anywhere?

Also, Chrissie's bracelet or something was found near the pub right? That was the same stuff which spilled out of her handbag?

These are all questions that should have been answered in the rewind episode but weren't.

Chrissie's bracelet was the one Lachlan had and threw into the river (?) I don't know how it ended up near the pub. I assume the bracelet they found by the pub was one that Eric put there after it fell out of her handbag but one can only assume.

But the gun, nobody knows how or when Ross removed it from the safe.

Wow, I thought I was being dumb or something...

But alas, it appears there is no answers as of yet.

Ross over heard Rakesh telling Lawrence about the gun, so he knew it was at Home Farm in the safe. I'm guessing from previous dealings at Home Farm (the home invasion and blackmail money from Lawrence) Ross was able to get the code to the safe.

Wasn't Lachlan shown taking the gun from the safe?

Then we see Andy hunting for a gun at the farm and Ross asks him if he wants it for shooting rabbits or something.

How on earth Ross got the gun from Lachlan we have yet to find out unless there are two guns.

Lachlan took that bracelet from the safe, not the gun.

He used his giant shoehorn to bust into the safe.

Ross has broken into Home Farm before with Robert's help. It's possible he knew the code or that Lachlan left the safe open (though why he'd do that is beyond me).

As someone's said, Ross overheard Rakesh talk about the gun (massive coincidence again, but not strictly a plot whole).

Of course the main question for me still is why shoot Robert right behind the pub, with Chas right there and a whole party of people within earshot. Ross is not a trained sniper, there is no way he could have been certain he could kill him instantly with a single shot.

Didn't Lachlan hear a noise and call "Grandad?" when at the safe, taking the bracelet and leaving the safe open. Then a shadow was at the door/window (we didnt see who it was, but obviously Ross who then took the gun off camera?)

We saw Ross' shadow outside Home Farm when Lachlan took the bracelet. He heard a noise so left in a rush leaving the safe open. Don't know how he knew the gun was there though. EDIT: He overheard Rakesh.

Bingo, now you said it, it makes perfect sense but at the time i was like 'can he hear them talking'

And then they made it look like he couldn't hear them, but then most won't remember that and be confused... like me.

Oh thanks, I don't remember seeing a shadow but I remember Lachlan leaving the safe door open.

I thought the gun was already gone because I couldn't see it in the safe and because they didn't let you see what Lachlan took at the time.

Andy wanted Moira's shotgun, which Pete took to keep at his caravan to protect himself from Ross.

Thanks, Mel. Does Moira know Pete has that gun? You'd think she'd wonder where it was otherwise unless she doesn't check that often.

There can't be cctv at Home Farm otherwise the police would have seen Lawrence didn't assault that Connor bloke as he'd claimed. Unless it's selective cctv of course - only working when the plot calls for it.

I'm not 100% sure, but wasn't CCTV mentioned after Ross and Aaron broke in? Something like "they knew how to turn off the CCTV?"
I would expect it to be restricted to the entrance area though, who would want their living rooms to be constantly filmed?

It's really quite laughable that the door to the office is never locked, and anybody can just wander in at any time of day.

If I had a house that was prone to getting broke into, burgled and damaged as often as Home Farm is, not to mention random strangers just letting themselves in, I'd have cctv in every room. Who cares if it meant being constantly filmed, there'd only be me looking at it anyway, and I wouldn't bother unless a crime had taken place

When she and Pete went back to the house to meet Ross, Moira checked for her gun and thought Andy had taken it to go after Robert with but Pete told her he was keeping it at his caravan after Ross tried to kill him.
